According to BILD, Robben now wears a bandage round his "heavily bruised thumb, middle and ring fingers" after being bitten by the large aquatic reptile which didn't take kindly to Robben entering its territory. "When I got a ball from the hole by the pool, a crocodile bit me", Robben said. An alternative version of events posits that Robben sustained the injury in a weights session, which would probably make a lot more sense. We're not David Attenborough, but a quick consultation of the world's favourite free encyclopedia suggests crocodiles are not even native to Qatar.
