I think they have more depth but I don't think their first 11 are nearly as strong as last year without Suarez. I don't think a single player they bought is better then one that started for them last year except possibly in their defense (even there I think its only very marginal upgrades). Mostly though, they didn't buy the right kind of striker to replace Suarez. Of course you are never going to get the same quality of player no matter what you do, but they should have bought a striker with some pace and guile who was willing to press. Neither Lambert or Balotelli fit that bill. | ||
