Already looking forward to the 2015 draft where the Oilers take McDavid first overall.

Buffalo you mean. Edmonton doesn't deserve another 1st pick.

Habs trade Louis Leblac to the Ducks for a conditional 5th. Draft busstttt

will his gf get on a twitter rant about the habs again???

this guy isnt a bust as much as he was a reach imo.
He had no business being drafted in the first round...

on one hand I won my fantasy season on the last day with the last goal and went from losing 6-4 to winning 5-4-1, becoming the first three time winner. glorious.
on the other hand, i hate that the kings won, other teams are going to start replicating their aesthetically displeasing style and sutter looks like a rhino.
on the third hand, Red Wings are going to be stuck in mediocrity because there are no real defensemen to be had at reasonably prices, their own defensemen arent developing as well as they were expected and Datsyuk is going to be too old to help carry the team with Zetterberg, which is depressing. Plus I am almost positive Holland is just waiting to sign 4-5 elderly cripples on a cap reaching contracts.
Finally congrats to the oilers, they've added yet another elderly gentlemen to their already overcrowded executive roster, surely he is the straw that will break the camel's back that is the wholly incompetently managed franchise.

I never though of the kings as boring at all. High possession, pretty passes, lots of forechecking. Fun stuff, no?

I wouldnt say their passes are particularly pretty and I dont enjoy watching a bunch of board battles and goalie running. But I accept that it is an aesthetic choice.

rules are rules, either call them for both teams or dont call them. I've never seen so many ref decisions in key moments go the kings way. Again, I recognize that thats just how the cookie crumbles sometimes, but quite frankly with this level of digital camera technology they need a 5th official whose sole job is to oversea ever goal or late period/OT penalty. Or they need to introduce coaches challenge. You get to challenge 2 ref calls, every time you challenge and you are wrong you get a 2 minute delay of game.

They are identical teams in terms of style, the King's just have better players in every position except goal. Even Vignault and Sutter could be interchangeable and all the games would have looked more or less the same.. The reason why the Kings looked more possession heavy was because the skill disparity. When the King played more talented teams they looked like the Rangers in terms of their style. Thats just an approach to hockey, luring in teams who are trying to produce pleasant looking hockey into your zone, wait for a fuck up and hit them on a counter attack.

NYR ran into Price to basically end that series after game 1. Thats what I was alluding too when I said you mixed up NYR and LA.

I realize they are basically the same. The real difference was Kopitar, Gaborik and Carter contributed alot where as Nash and Richards were invisible (St. Louis played well)

It's not about deserving, it's about destiny. It's about digging deep, manning-down, and finding a way to lose! It's about snatching defeat out of the jaws of victory. GOilers!
