EDIT: They're certainly going to go for more than that. Probably well north of $1B.

What a stupid question. They're interested in whomever has the most freaking money, regardless of skin color.

EDIT: The Clippers will fetch, way, way more than that. The Kings just went for something like that price, LAC is a much better team with a more lucrative market. It's going to be over double that. As for banning him, we don't know what the league bylaws say. From what Silver's said, it sounds like they can force him out via vote by seizing the team and selling.

Docs decision was likely a precursor of a chilling effect upon the Clippers. It would become a black hole of the NBA while Sterling was there, forcing extreme action from the NBA. I don't think so. All Doc Rivers did was create even more publicity around the Sterling case. Could you imagine how the league would look after all this if sterling DID stay? I mean yeah, he's always been racist and there's been a little proof here and there, but it never got the widespread attention like it has now. More people knowing about it = more people upset = bigger shitstorm.

The other owners are not going to like their wallets getting hit because of Sterling, and they would likely act if they have the capacity to do so (and it appears that they certainly do).
