The NBA probably can't remove the team from him unless it were for financial reasons, but they can take over operations or suspend him indefinitely. He also doesn't have much room to sue the NBA, outside of anti-trust against the other owners. So the NBA constitution is a secret. Imagine a country run that like.... I think the NHL's is also. The NBA is at least in part publicly funded.

There's like a 0% chance the ref was looking at his feet there, and the other refs were probably screened by the action(I mean, the first few angles show how easy it is to not see it's a travel from other spots on the court).

I'm just saying it was a travel, whether it'd ever get called is another matter. Two refs did have clear line of sight.

The NBA is at least in part publicly funded. This isnt grounds for shit. This is the most endearing of all the fucked up sleezebag stories associated with Sterling over the years. I listened to the audio. He clearly doesnt hate black people. Maybe his family, his business partners perhaps. His issue is clearly hiding his affiliation with black people not with any actual affiliation. Maybe he gets his country club membership revoked, who knows. It sucks for him that he has to live his life as a slave to the norms of the wealthy societal circle he was raised in. Hes the one thats a slave... that he cant live life true to himself and his own beliefs. Wealth like that comes with a price... It sets a bad precedent if he were forced out. The other owners wont have it, I reckon. Whats to stop them from losing their team after a few drinks and taped convo with one of their many mistresses? LOL. Or, OR, its the other owners who are calling him out for his gfs instagram pictures. Im far more amused, or more sympathetic than I am angry. His girlfriend tho... man Ray Allen eat your heart out cause she has way more game than Shuttlesworth. Played Sterling like a fiddle. And the fact that she took down the pic of Magic probably means all is well in their budding relationship with this concession, LOL. Talk about having your cake and eating it too.

Never forget the elder Van Gundy going toe to toe with Alonzo Mouring... or should I say bald head to toe? LOL. Now I feel large amounts of hate in my heart for Allan Houston, lucky bounce for runners in the lane, and ridiculous three point plays from Granmama. Its better to be a Heat fan now, because we got Lebron and actual championships. But theres nothing like the old school NBA. Its not the same.

The NBA is at least in part publicly funded. No it's not. Just because owners swindle local and state governments into funding massive, money-losing, stadium projects doesn't mean the NBA is "publicly funded." It should mean that, but it doesn't. It's not like the citizens of Los Angeles can call some kind of meeting to excise Donald Sterling from the Staples Center.

Nobody will remember the circumstances of it. Oldest lesson in history. (Although in this case, it's not actually their fault.) They've also had some of the easiest schedules in the league the last two years. I think last year they may have had the easiest schedule and this year they had the second easiest schedule post All-Star break.
