Yeah. Not liking their chances without Parker. Plus Wade was injured last season and was on limited minutes, but when he was on the floor he was extremely effective against them.

That's fair, although I think Wade would have been more important to the Heat than Parker to the Spurs.

Maybe, but he is their primary ball handler and don't have much of a good back up if Ginobili has to do it.

That Duncan stat is hella misleading though, they had Robinson. Parker got drafted onto an already well established Spurs team that lost to the Lakers. That would be like saying Norris Cole got a ring his rookie year, everyone else is trash.

Yup that's why I put it between braces for Parker. I can't deny the team Duncan was drafted in was definitely better than the 20-62 season might indicate, but he still got the RoY and (to me well deserved) Finals MVP. You can't argue the other way that he wasn't a major factor in the 1999 championship.

No but taking the argument for why rookies play a part in championships and flipping it to make fun of/blame other stars for not winning championships is dumb. Yes Duncan was a big part of it but he wasn't all of it, and a lot more went into that championship than just having him on the team. The image is dumb because it's making fun of/blaming Durant for the Thunder not winning anything yet compared to the Spurs or Lebron but the situations aren't the same at all.
