Doc cries with them. If it weren't for Doc Rivers I would've been cheering for the Clippers this round even with all of the bandwagoning going on in Los Angeles. But fuck Doc Rivers. I'm glad he got fined 25k only to see his ass lose the way he did.

I thought Memphis was a couple of lucky breaks away from putting OKC away for good in the first round. OKC isn't in the WCF because they're the hands down second best team, they're there because they got a LOT of lucky breaks.

But I doubt anyone would have been surprised if you told them at the start of the season, or really at any point during it, that the Conference Finals would be SA OKC and MIA IND. I don't think that's 'boring' merely that competence gets rewarded.

The results are what was predicted, but none of the details are. The first round of this year was the best I've ever seen. You can't just dismiss that because the 1-2 seeds in each conference made the finals. That's shallow as fuck.

NFL has the best parity but is prone to teams going on hot streaks. Baseball has awful parity. Hockey and soccer are essentially random sports.

If we had Bo1s the playoffs would have gone thus. Golden State over LAC SA over Dallas Washington over Chicago Atlanta over Indiana OKC over Memphis Portland over Houston Miami over Charlotte Brooklyn over Toronto We would've had 4/8 upsets if the playoffs had been Bo1. The second round would've gone: LAC over OKC SA over Portland Washington over Indiana Miami over Brooklyn Bo1s are definitely what give the NFL its unpredictability. Put that format in ANY sport and you'll get weird fucking results.
