Although the out of bounds call was wrong (it was off jackson), it was clearly a foul by barnes so I don't see why people could be upset. The Thunder got to take the ball from out of bounds instead of free throws (which would have been better for them at that point).
Doesn't matter if it was a foul. Point is how can the refs screw that up so badly despite watching the video where it clearly came off Jackson.
Fix.

wow tomorrow is going to be fucking insane on sports radio

Wow Doc Rivers is pissed. Rightfully so.
If the NBA has any self respect they will remove these refs from the playoffs.

I don't think the refs are blind and honestly think the ball went off jackson. It was obviously a makeup call. At that moment in the game, the free throws that would have come with a foul call would have been way more beneficial then a possession with a potential to score. I just don't see how people can be upset about this call.
People want the "right" call to occur. The "right" call should have been a foul

So if they got it right and called the foul, then Jackson gets two shots and ties it, rather than WB getting bailed out on his 3 and taking the lead. The PROPER end, then, would have been a tie (if he made both FTs), LACs ball to end the game.
Trying to fix it the way they did was not only blatantly against the rules (and hence their job), it was unfair as well.

you don't make a makeup call when you use a replay system. what is the point of using a stupid ass replay system that shows something in black and white if the ref can ignore it?
it's not about what is right and wrong it's about the rules which obviously aren't being followed. they could always repay calls by giving them i don't know... maybe any shooting foul they want (which i feel they ended up doing anyway)? also, no one would have even complained on the last westbrook foul if that wasn't called.
|
a make up call at that point in the game? You serious? They were horrible all game, and Brothers and Salvatore are known for being trash. They were just bad.
Charles is absolutely stupid. The refs had replay and Barnes fouled Jackson's left hand with the ball in his right. Unbelievable.
|
Man did the Clippers get fucked. Refs called all the bullshit calls for the Thunder down the stretch.
The same missed foul/ball is off the one fouled happened in the LAC/GSW series (Green fouled CP3, ball was off CP3), and the refs awarded it to GSW after review.

Tony Brothers called the foul on Chris Paul before he got his hand up on the WB 3 pointer. Uh oh...
|
cant believe i missed this LOL
|
As much as you can blame the refs, the Clippers were really out of control those last few minutes. Paul in particular took some poor shots.

Just saw this on NBA tonight (My TNT broke) and it is objectively untrue.

I meant bailed out insofar as he took a stupid shot. You are down 2 at home, you play for OT, not the win. Especially with that much time left. Why leave LAC time to retake the lead?

nevermind here's a still. Need to see a good angle replay for it
ETA: yea nevermind, he's completely off on this one. He had the wrong ref singled out too.

Horrendous calls down the stretch. However people can't dismiss the idiotic move CP3 did when he decided to heave up a shot to get a 3PT foul at halfcourt, when all he had to do was hold on to the damn ball. That led to the strip, which led to the shitty out of bounds call.
|
He also got fouled on the last play of the game. Lets not forget that one too.
yep, shit has hit the fan. The refs and the NBA have different explanations as for why the call was correct. Rigged.

Clippers are saying the explanation they got from the refs (this one I assume) is different from the explanation given to them after the game. What they posted on Inside the NBA is not what that picture cites. Especially since the rule on TV if applied correctly would have been LAC ball anyway.
