Kane and Kessel can both carry the puck but neither are exceptional snipers. It just won't work with Carey Price in net. Canada gold in both mens and womens ice hockey. Just what we need. More hockey superiority complex wut? If there's anything Kessel can do, it's score goals. He just didn't get any chances in this game. I don't understand how you're supposed to score on a team that has Pietrangelo, Bouwmeester, Vlasic and Weber on their blue line. It looks like the swedish coaching staff has their work cut out for them.

I don't think I saw many cases where a Canadian forward wasn't applying pressure in the neutral zone. Like, I don't remember any point where US got to enter the zone easily. Amazing defence, but I think having like every single Canadian two-way forward helped a bunch. I also think Kunitz played a really good game alongside the Benn/Perry/Getzlaf line.

It's the kind of play that Detroit used against San José in the playoffs some years ago. Reminds me of why I hate Mike Babcock.
