Even though Slovenia is not a great hockey nation, 7-1 is a very solid result in an opening game. I don't think you will go all the way though. I feel that USA in hockey is like England in football- they think they are the best team in the world, but then they always lose to the Germans. | ||

It's true! Phoenix is the winter destination of so many people from Alberta (also an owner of the coyotes is Calgarian). I have season tickets to the flames game, and ekman larsson is the player I look forward to watching when the yotes come to town. Kudos to the swedish for having a decent development system for the Norweigans. | ||

so i'll tell u THERE IS ZERO PROBABILITY RUSSIA WINS GOLD. The team's best players are basically uncoachable. USA and Canada are all running shifts 50 seconds or less. Meanwhile, Ovechkin is doing his best imitation of the 1972 CCCP with his 3 minute shifts. Ovechkin had this same issue in the playoffs under Boudreau. what in the name of fucking god is Ovechkin doing? He may be able to get away with this crap against the Edmonton Oiler, Buffalo Sabres and Florida Panthers. But, Sweden, Canada, Czech Rep, , USA, and Finland will show "ovie" the error of his ways. The teams i listed are all highly disciplined with a solid defensive foundation. Russia looks like a garage league team. An extremely talented garage league team.. but still very disorganized relative to the prior teams i listed. Based on talent alone Russia is probably amongst the best, and they may win a medal , but they'll never win gold. I'm going to clean this up and present some precise stats illustrating Russia's disorganized ways and blog it. | ||

Let's look at your track record buddy: The Coyotes are still in Pheonix and Hayley Wickenheiser was the best player on the ice during the Canada/USA game. Hockey Hall of Fame rates her as one of the top women Hockey players. Listen Mr. Mississauga Royal's catcher. If that is your only claim to fame, you might want to stick to baseball predictions. This is Hockey, something you apparently can't begin to place a realistic prediction about.
