then i'd say "Czechoslovakia" would be the #1 hockey nation overall since 1998. on the CBC.ca webcast .. i dont think the commentators realize they are on the air during TV commercials. they made a "sputnik" joke... if a russian blogger guy with 88374987328 twitter followers gets a hold of that .. look out. | ||

If Sweden hadn't conceded Finland and the Baltics to the Russians we would be better than those two hypothetical teams combined. Now we have this situation because a Swedish king didn't realize that invading Russia always is a bad idea. Always. As for this tournament I think it is gonna be hard for the other countries to take the gold medals from the Swedish team. It was therefore quite natural that they relaxed a bit to save their physical and mental energy for the next game. In the game of ice hockey almost any team can score against any other opponent with some luck and a lot of brute force. The Czech Republic should concede the game immediately and end it on a good note. Playing this to the end will only have a demoralizing effect. They stood up bravely, but they have a team with very few known names. Jagr rings a bell somewhere. I think he was good back in 1992 or something, but more interestingly - isn't Frolic a dog food brand? Good luck and have fun and may the best team Sweden win the olympic gold medal in ice hockey! | ||
