Normally I enjoy watching ice hockey, but I due to the tournament structure (and germany failing to qualify), I don't think I will watch this before the knockout stage, at least not if there are there events going on at the same time.

losing koivu and filppula really hurts the Finns a lot up front. Short tourny though, so Rask can always be sneaky.
mafe, the group play games hould be good. there's definitely some good match ups.

czechs, who have pretty much been playing defense all game outside of one decent jagr opportunity and one or two other mediocre chances.
berglund just took the dman outside who fuckin whiffed hard at the blueline, and just cranked a rolling puck high shortside past the goalie. the d and g dont look so hot, but the g is still probably miles better than shitty ass pavelec

To be hilariously politically incorrect, I always thought it was a shame Czechoslovakia broke up simply because they had a great hockey team but neither of the 2 halves can form a top team despite certain bright stars.
|
they've won a gold and a bronze since then?
theyre usually competitive, but it seems like all their stars are old and there's not many young studs

I don't think our hockey team is all that bad. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Czech_Republic_men's_national_ice_hockey_team
