I thought you were 2m, which is like 6'7. I'm 193, which is like 6'4. So you're still damn tall. And it's "harder" for tall guys to pack on size just because there's more area for any size you do add to spread out over.

There's a couple things about gaining size though. In my experience, you notice gains in like 4 weeks, people close to you in like 8 weeks, people you barely know in like 12 weeks.

Even though you notice your own gains the quickest, you're also always the most disappointed in them. They day you start doing hypertrophy work is the day you become forever small, because you are never as big as your pump.

Tomorrow morning I have to donate blood and will be training roughly 4-6 hours afterwards. Anything special I should do between other than drinking more water? I don't mind if the pinch opens again but I do wanna avoid fainting during heavy shrugs.

I've worked out after donating blood before. I'd drink a sport drink rather than water. Or even better add some glycerine to a pre-workout shake with more water than usual. Otherwise you are just going to have to feel it out and get your breathing straight.

For some reason it's always surprising how exhausting swimming a few laps can be.

Dude I know. I had to swim a 200m for time for gym class (we get graded on our actual physical fitness at my school, lol) and I barely managed like a 4:15. It was so hard T_T

Considering most of our body is made up of water and that we're covered in connective tissue, muscle, bone, etc. it would be pretty hard to find someone that's not denser than water...

No most people aren't. Fat and air in your lungs are less dense than water. Most people don't sink to the bottom of the pool with a full breath of air in their lungs.

no I've been consumed by sloth and CSGO. I was doing crossfit April -> September, then I went on my vacation (for tough mudder) for a few weeks, came back, and all hell broke loose at my office and my car broke down twice. The paychecks I got mostly went to fixing my car and student loans. Can't really afford the $160/month right now

@ gotunk I asked eshlow that question years ago and his answer was just to make sure you take the time to replenish the fluids, because that's most of what you're losing. Like igne said, sports drink, and they usually make you eat something before they let you leave anyway, so that's no problem.

@ tofucake wow. 160 is definitely the high end for crossfit gyms. Most of them around here are 90-120, and it's pretty standard that they offer EMS discounts to varying degress. The best one around only charges 80 for EMS/Fire/Police, 160 is crazy expensive.
