Running is fine, it is distance running that begins to diverge from physique and strength goals. Do some HIIT, find a nice set of stairs, and try and keep the distances under 4-5 miles.

Bunn you allready got a lot of advice but just to expand on the no-gym part we do have a bodyweight training thread you could read.

As much as i don't like reddit their bodyweightfitness Training guide is really really good. Also ceck the sidebar for more information.

Until you find a pullup bar I would recommend rows with a sturdy table.
In case you miss it in the links above: replace crunches with L-seat(progression) .

Power Snatch up to 60kg, 50x2x5 (fuck getting under the bar)
BS 190x1 200x1 210kgx1(PR), 165x3x4
Pull Ups BW x10 x7 x8



200 was perfect, 210 felt like shit and leaned to the side a bit but bar speed was still good.

New PR, although I think it's mostly due to using a new pull up bar at my school. I hit 21 pull ups today for the first time in my life, up from 17 previously. Which is funny, cause I deadlift more easily at home, lol. Still, felt pretty sick to hit 21 pull ups for the first time ^_^

Yeah basically dead hang. I might use a bit too much momentum (not that I kick or anything), but I generally go down to a dead hang.

I guess I should also mention that I'm relatively light. I'm only ~145-150 lbs bodyweight at 5'6, so I'm kind of puny lol. I also usually hook my knees (my pull up bar is too low due to ceiling restrictions at home), but at my school I had enough room to just let my legs hang straight down.

21 pull-ups is respectable, no doubt. I think I'd be lucky to get over 12 fresh. I usually put them at the end of my workouts since they're not a current focus.

Yeah, but I'm nowhere as lean as you I'd kill to have basically anyone else's physique on this forum. I've got the short, stocky, Mediterranean build so many Greeks/Italians are blessed with, but with the obscurity of being from a country no one's heard of (who the hell knows where Malta is, lol?).

Also, I'd love to hear where you're at Marvellosity. Post some pics and logs of your lifting ^^ I'm hoping to hit a 3 plate deadlift before spring break.

@Mtl if you want to pack on more size I really recommend following a more hypertrophy focussed split.

I adapted my workout to be a hybrid SS and PHAT and I've been getting great results in strength and hypertrophy over the last month. It's usually recommended to just pick one and stick to it but whatevs.

Got 430 today on deadlift after some terrible cleaning yesterday. Makes it feel a tad bit better Was a PR but I don't know how much since I haven't maxed out on deadlift in over a year since wrecking my back with football.

The issue is that I have no time in the day to eat, honestly. I'm so busy that I just have no time to ever eat and can't put on any weight.

Honestly what do you expect from the general population who browses AdviceAnimals.

My favorite quote/saying (and I really wish I could find the source) is something like "Find what everyone is doing, and do the exact opposite." and it applies to so many areas of life. The road less walked is very often the better one, because if what everyone was doing was the best way then everyone would be getting the results.

Well, the general public seems to know absolutely fuck all about any form of fitness, so nothing really suprising . Like that 'Women should never lift more than 3 pounds l0l0l0l0l' bullshit. Most people I know also seem to think you can't possibly lose weight without doing ridiculous amounts of running.
I have found the Iron to be my greatest friend. It never freaks out on me, never runs. Friends may come and go. But two hundred pounds is always two hundred pounds.
