You can sit on a lacrosse ball and kind of pull your hammies down onto it. I literally cannot do that though. I can try to make progress each day on it, but I have ridiculously tight hamstrings that I can't hip-hinge at all and I just end up rounding my entire back trying to touch my toes. Even then I still only make it to about my upper shins.
Just hip hinge as far as your ROM will let you go, and chill out there, hopefully working your way up. Use a table or something to hold onto so you can hold the position for like 2 minutes. Also try sitting on a lacrosse ball and ramming it into your hamstrings.

So today I did front squat doubles up to 395 db rows with 90 during lunch and then afternoon snatched up to 130, two doubles at 120, clean and jerks up to 160, cleaned 165, back squats to 210, four rounds of five 30" box squats and 3x225 cleans then finished up by hitting my first muscle up. Crossfit lolol

Hmmm, I'm trying to get back into yoga. Stretching and flexibility is important to me. I have started setting my alarm really early in the morning, because when I get home from work I am often too tired to do exercise. But now I am having trouble actually waking up that early to exercise. I wake up and snooze my alarm because I can't seem to shake myself awake.
*sigh*
I am super proud of my friend though. She has been doing cross-fit twice a week and regular gym twice a week and she goes running every second day. She lost so much weight and she is looking great ^_^ I admire her dedication and her drive to exercise, and I definitely want to start feeling that way myself.

I would if I could. I am still a while away from getting my own car and licence, and she lives the other side of town. But once I am able to get around, I will be doing that ^_^ until then though I need to find some way of motivating myself to get up in the morning.
decafchicken, are you a relative of obesechicken?

Muscle ups are fucking brutal, even with kip. -_-

I can do a pull up with an extra third of my BW, but I'm still not even close to being able to do a strict muscle up. It's not so much that doing a pull up or doing a dip is hard, but getting your arms over the pull up bar cleanly is really tough
Also, my leg goes numb whenever I do a particular hip stretch. Should this concern me or should I just ignore it?

Muscle ups on rings is where it's at homies.

So I walked into the (university) gym yesterday morning for my workout and noticed that it smelled like a tire store there (new rubber and all that, a smell I happen to quite like
I'd heard the football players mention we were going to get new bumpers soon, and boy did our S&C coach deliver
I walked in to this + Show Spoiler +
Awesome brand new Pendlay plates, and what's better is that they're customized for our school/colors!!

Sorry for crappy-ish quality, phone camera's not great, but I was excited like a kid on Christmas!!

Wow that's awesome, does your school have a weightlifting team?
|
No although I've thought about starting one (I think I'm one of like 2 people who actually does weightlifting as their method of training, some people do some crossfitty stuff) but idk how much interest I'd get. Our football team is pretty much the best in our D3 division, and I think most of the reason we have such good equipment is that (our other sports are pretty good too)
I won't complain though, sick equipment for me

At my Uni we had basically no one doing Oly lifts, until we got a bunch of bumper plates and after a short while it became kinda popular just by itself. You might find a lot more people trying to now you've got that stuff.

So, I started doing dealift / racklift (idk the proper name for it, but googling videos showed a similar excercise, so I'll just go with it) Only difference is that I do 10-12 reps without putting the bar back on the ground, when comparing it to the videos. My problem is, that towards the end of the 2nd set the bar starts slipping off of my hands, while I'm actually not using much weight. Like 30kilo excluding the bar. During the finals set it just completely slips out of my hand, while I feel liek I could still do a couple of reps or even another full set. Any tips on how to to solve my problem? Put it back on the ground after every single rep or will it simply get better over time?

Do fewer reps with more kilos.

Yes you should be returning the bar to the ground between every rep. Just touch the ground then start pulling again.
They're called "deadlifts"
also what igne said.

Jadeveon clowney just ran a 4.53 40m dash at 6'5 260lbs. Holy christ. That can't be natural.
