Are the last two posts serious? Protein consumption should not have a noticeable effect on blood sugar, and undiagnosed diabetes is how you wind up without a hand....

Yeah...my gf is a nurse and has seen peoples toes and shit literally falling off from diabetes. Might wanna get that checked.
how reasonable is it to eat off wood instead of your tummy?

I know someone who's dad semi-recently due to diabetes. He chose not to take care of himself and slowly died of gangrene. It's incredibly sad that anyone would let himself or herself deteriorate like that and is negligent enough not to care.

Also, loving that sticker on the helmet haha. And the financial aid for the colleges I just got accepted to came back... looks like I will be graduating with far less debt than I anticipated. This has been the greatest week of my life I think, even though I was sick and couldn't train.

I did the first 21 thrusters in a row, then 15 swing pullups.

I then continued somewhat slowly but consistently, but spent 6 minutes and all my energy in the following 15 pull ups, had to do them in doubles. Was 9 pull ups shorts t.t

Yeah those pull ups are brutal if you don't kip. Which is bullshit I'd like to do a non-pussy version of fran. Maybe thrusters and rowing or something.

Bench 220 aka 100kg aka bodyweight for 5x5. Two plates next time! Finally starting to get a little heavy
Dips + 45lbs 8, 8, 7
DB seated bench 3x8 @ 50
Tricep pump sesh

What would be an impressive time for a non-crossfitter like myself to do fran in? Can i clown on some crossfitters by doing it or will i be humbled? Seems fuckin ez to be honest.

For the whole thing. Just saw someone from my gym who's decently strong (squat 400 dl 500) and fit but not the best lifter (technique/mobility) do it in 2:55

I've done fran with kettlebells (50-60 lbs each) in around 7 minutes. I imagine barbells are a lot easier though, especially for someone like me. The pull ups were the real killer for me, but that's also when I was fucking awful at pull ups. Once this shoulder tendinitis goes down I might give fran a shot now that I have a little bit of upper body strength and the pull ups won't completely kill me.

Side note, what's a good 2k row time? 7:20 was pretty tiring but I feel like I could get sub 7 with a bit more work/effort.

Unless I'm misunderstanding something, 3 rounds of 45 squats, 45 presses, and 45 pullups (21, 15, 9) would be 3 rounds of 135 movements, or a total of 405 movements - so I'm assuming when you say "whole thing" you mean one round, because 405 movements in 180 seconds seems superhuman.

The 21, 15, 9 are each a separate round. I.E. Three rounds of thrusters and pull ups at 21, 15, 9 reps.

I think triple fran is equivalent to suicide.
