About the squatting video: Things I noticed from the video: None of them got as low as the strongman and the weightlifter. Might be due to “how they’re coached” kind of thing. The weightlifter had the most energy efficient technique, he did full range of motion, without slowing down and not compromising form or anything. (great squat technique btw, lovely). Maybe I’m biased, but the technique of the weightlifting was much better and that accounts for better “rep” if you know what I mean. Lovely to hear that “the 1rep max kind of guy” were the most apt to go the long way with a semi-heavy load. I love being a weightlifting. Funny Story: The owner and head coach (he’s not L1 or anything, he’s just a money moron) of the crossfit gym I go to, calls me “El Sentadillero”, because I go, almost everyday, and do some sort of squatting, front, back, etc. ![]() | ||

I don't care what you say, it's much easier to squat your bodyweight if you are 165 than it is if you are 300. | ||

Sick pic gotunk! Finally hit 495lb/225kg squat yesterday for the first time in months since I started rehabbing my back. 10kg more than my last max out. CJ workout from yesterday: 90 100 110 120 130 135 138 140 143 145 148 150x then 4x1x140 Clean is feeling a little better. Jerks were solid. Snatch workout this morning was a lot of no foot work and shit then snatches up to 110. Love morning workouts. | ||
