I know we rag on Carmelo's game here (compared to superstars), so how do you value Parker in the draft? Yeah, he's young, coachable, etc. but his shot selection can be pretty abysmal and I don't think he's as athletic as Carmelo was. Is he a long term piece for your team?

Cause he had a bad game basically playing center? I don't think it matters. Kevin Durant and Blake Griffin didn't have great tournaments either. Jabari isn't either of those guys, but it's not a big deal. It is a big deal that he chose to go to Duke to begin with. That shows a distinct lack of taste and character, his decision should be denounced daily.

As much as a Curry, Lopez, Lillard, Stephenson, David Lee type players are. I'd say his ceiling is being a Steph Curry-ish top 10 player with bleh defense, while his most likely career path is being the reverse Luol Deng.

When are people going to stop scapegoating his teammates and look at Melo for why he's only made it out of the first round of the playoffs twice in a 11 years? He's just a bigger/stronger Iverson. Chucker and ball-hog that scores a lot but inefficiently, and doesn't make his team better and will never win a ring.

Tournament doesn't really tell you much about the guys who are already top picks - doesn't hurt their stock. It's great for showing off guys with questions like Dwyane Wade though and his amazing run with Marquette to the Final 4. Smart's looked bad all season though.

Not sure of context/generally ignorant of college basketball besides watching highlights. Everyone in the world can be divided into two camps. People who hate Duke (and all of their entitled foul-call favoring ways) and soul-less scumbags who hate puppies and sunshine. + Show Spoiler + Mostly a joke. E: Also regarding Melo and Woodson. Have you all watched a Knicks game? Woodson has been a terrible coach this year, even if we only judged him by his substitutions and line-ups. So Melo got frustrated about someone who's demonstrated persistent incompetence? That's... understandable. Melo is not as good as Lebron & Durant, but he's not some uncoachable bum either, lets try and keep some perspective yes?

It's basketball program is, in fact, the Platonic Form of those words. I read in the NCAA thread that you go to American. So it's kind of like Duke:UNC:Wake Forest :: Georgetown:American:George Washington. Not a perfect analogy, since UNC is a public school and Georgetown is not close to Duke in awfulness.
