Great game with a lot of emotion. Atletico was better until the 60 or 70 min when they run out of energy.
Di Magia was superb. MotM.

According to ZDF (a German TV Canal, who showed yesterday at freeTV), only 7,44M germans watched this game. Last year Bayern vs Dortmund had 21,61M and Bayern vs Chelsea had 16,79M. ZDF said, "it is a disappoint number".

Last year the german derby final had 4,2M. It is normal, with no spanish team, but a decent amount. The record is still the Wordcup 2010 final between netherlands and Spain. 77,2% share with >13M viwers.

About share, I think Netherlands is the king.

They even finished worse than the last season. 26 million for Soldado and Lamela ? Like wtf. Knowing what Milan, Roma and Juve(and some other teams) can do with little to no money and what the english teams can't do with theirs is mind boggling sometimes.

They even finished worse than the last season. 26 million for Soldado and Lamela ? Like wtf. Knowing what Milan, Roma and Juve(and some other teams) can do with little to no money and what the english teams can't do with theirs is mind boggling sometimes. Wasted it? Did Soldado, Lamela, Chiriches, Paulinho, Capoue, Eriksen, and Chadli all die? If Spurs were to sell all 7, they would get their money back, or at least within 10 million of it. Soldado and Lamela have lost value, but Eriksen's value has gone up drastically, and the rest are about the same. Spurs only finished with 3 fewer points than 2012-13, and that was purely down to incompetent management by AVB and Sherwood. By the way, Napoli were willing to pay the same price for Lamela with the Cavani money, but Roma sold to Tottenham so as to avoid strengthening a rival. He hid a thigh injury because he was desperate for the transfer to go through, then overcompensated for the thigh and ended up fracturing a vertebra, which is why he's been out since December. Suggesting that he's a waste of money is pure ignorance on your part. The only bad purchase for the money was Soldado, and Levy overpaid because the club had missed out on striker targets for 5 straight years post-Berbatov. And if you bothered to do an ounce of research, you'd see that Daniel Levy has led Tottenham to two 4th place finishes in the last five years, despite having the sixth largest turnover and sixth largest wage bill, and a net spend of 0 in the transfer market. While doing all this, he has built a world class training facility and has laid all the groundwork for a new stadium, which will start construction once one more business is moved off the property.

Do you know how ridiculous that sounds ? Maybe with their 91+20 million euro they should hire medical staff not players. And btw he was desperate to go from Roma to... Tottenham. OK.

And btw he was desperate to go from Roma to... Tottenham. OK. First of all, thank you for ignoring the rest of my post, thus admitting that, indeed, the money was not wasted. Secondly, Tottenham is a more attractive club than Roma. In terms of history they have had similar domestic success, but in Europe there is no comparison. In current stature, one is located in London and competes in the most popular league in the world, while the other is stuck in a rapidly declining Serie A. We won't even discuss the financial power of both clubs. Thirdly, I actually misremembered about Lamela. The injury occurred after the transfer, and he was desperate to succeed so he hid it.

In your dreams, son. ![]() Oh sorry, we're doing link contests now? http://www.marca.com/2012/12/31/en/football/spanish_football/1356978303.html As you can see, one season totally determines the outcome of a transfer. In no way can anything change in year two. The money is all gone...100 million wasted as if it were lit on fire. Also, Roma is bigger than Tottenham only if your measurement is the number of fascists and anti-semites supporting the club. If you care about silly things like trophies, Roma loses out. This is getting wildly off-topic (we are in the CL thread after all) so it will be my last post on the subject.
