I read Nick Powell had a really good season, hope he actually turns out decent.
LVG should try a 3-4-1-2 like the Netherlands have been using in the World Cup. Rooney and RVP up top with Mata at the #10 slot, with Herrera and someone else (Jones, maybe?) as holding mids, with Shaw and Rafael or Jones as wing backs. No idea who would play CB though.

Just under 1 goal every 2 games is a darn site better than what we have, plus he is labelled as striker partner for Costa =P Yea but most of these goals come from below .500 teams and after the game was usually over. His passing and defensive skills are medicore at best. Doesnt make much sense for me selling De Bruyne last year and now buying him who is worse in my opinion. Reminds me a lot of when they bought Schürrle only to send de Bruyne to Wolfsburg. We at Leverkusen would have LOVED to make that trade. De Bruyne the way more complete and better player imo. But seems Mou is rly into fast, physical strong wingers, which also makes sense since they already have Hazard and Oscar, who are more the playmaking kind. But imo Aube isnt really an upgrade to Schürrle.
Nice to see another Leverkusen fan here o/
Edit: Luke Shaw officially signs for Manchester United.

I'd like to see LVG use the same formation but idk about the high line, it'll be fine with weaker teams but you can't have your d-line at your midfield for half the game vs. like Liverpool.

I'm just messing since he joked about Cristiano like that. Could be though, could be.

Wow another Leverkusen fan !!! Didnt expect that to be honest. I dont know if you know this, but we arent really popular even in Germany But ye great team. Too bad we lost Emre Can. What a warrior this guy is. Reminds me a lot of Arturo. But things looking bright. Schmidt coming from RB Salzburg seems to be a really great coach and a number 10 transfer is in the making. Sth like Callhanoglu, Grenier or Kampl and I think we can make top 4 again.

As Adidas AG (ADS) stopped using Luis Suarez for World Cup marketing after the Uruguay striker received a four-month ban for biting an opponent, Netflix Inc. (NFLX) and McDonald’s Corp. (MCD) seized the opportunity for free publicity.
“Don’t worry #Suarez, four months is plenty of time to devour House of Cards. One bite at a time,” Netflix tweeted after the suspension was announced yesterday, referring to the online video service’s political thriller. Within an hour after the controversial June 24 match against Italy, the McDonald’s Uruguay unit tweeted: “Hello @luis16suarez, if you are hungry come have a bite of a big Mac.”
Barilla Holding SpA, Royal Philips NV (PHIA) and Nando’s Group Holdings Ltd. chimed in with tweets and ads that are more than just schadenfreude. They show how marketers have honed their social-media skills to react immediately to events that consumers are talking about. The reward is visibility at a low cost -- the brands don’t have to pay the athlete a cent.
“Such digital ambush marketing lets companies get a lot of attention in the blink of an eye,” said Florian Krumrey, head of sponsoring and rights at Munich-based marketing company Serviceplan Group.
Puma SE, the sportswear company that supplies jerseys for the Italian soccer team, jumped on the bandwagon by tweeting an image of the team shirt and the slogan: “Players look damn good in those PUMA shirts. Hard to resist taking a bite.” A spokesman for Puma, which also sponsors Uruguay, declined to comment. source

Yeah they don't seem too popular in Germany. Completely unheard of in the USA. I don't think even Bayern is that well known here.
I as well was gutted about the Emre Can transfer. He's physically and technically gifted and can play central midfield and as a full back. Plus he's only 20...
The squad does need another creative player. I love Castro, but Hegeler seems average. Levin Öztunali seems like a great prospect, but he's only 18. I'm undecided about Calhanoglu. He hasn't been acting very professional with HSV. It would be funny if they got Kampl since he originally came through Leverkusen's youth system lol
I'm so pumped that we signed Josip Drmic though!
Edit: Swansea City sign Bafetimbi Gomis on a free transfer

he showed some serious serious skill, not just scoring a goal.. I've rarely ever been as impressed by someone I had never heard of at all before.

Apparently the barca board gave Lucho a blank check to spend as much needed to renovate the team. Will we get defenders though? xD

We will get a bunch of center backs in the form of defensive midfield players...
