Fuck me, I'm so mad with our management now, not only he was our best player for the man.u games, his price will keep raising after the world cup, I just can't understand why they sold him now. Also Olympiakos has 0 financial problems so it's not like they were forced to part with him.
How long was his contract? Winter transfers tend to be higher than summer transfers, but yeah with the world cup around the corner and the utd game this does seem like a weird sale for Olympiakos.

SAO PAULO (AP) - Neymar's father said Tuesday that Barcelona paid his company 10 million euros in 2011 to guarantee the right to sign the player Wow Barca really might get in trouble for this?
Rosell may have screwed Barca harder than they can imagine. I've been hearing some of the possible punishments and that would be outright bizarre for Barca if came that to that. Imagine no Barcelona in European football for a season.

That's the fucking thing, he renewed his contract 5 months ago because his buy out clause was only 7m. Zero sense.

Not going to happen. It would mean a significant blow in viewer numbers for CL.

I guess that was the point. They wanted to get more than 7m How's the financial situation for Olympiakos? Also the player probably really really wanted to leave. There's no point in keeping a player that will be completely unmotivated.

Yeah but thats when the system is just stupid and corrupt. Another reason why they think the FFP will not work. You think they would stop Man City or PSG with their squads entering Champions League lol? Be the same with what you just said. Will they throw the book at Barcelona and kick them out of the Champions League? Nope, as everyone loses. They will get a huge ass fine of like €5million or something. Should get a 1 window transfer ban too i guess is the only fair kind of punishment if they don't go that hard at them.
|
Steveling does that mean the (repeat) Djebbour deal with Forest is going to be off, or is there a replacement in the works?
|
The system is fine if they find other means to make FFP work. Extensive fines (which in my book should exceed 5m by far), transfer bans - hell even revoking transfers could be an option - all in all measurements that don't hurt UEFA itself are valid options to enforce FFP imo. There's never going to be real financial fairplay (e.g. Monaco will probably always have to pay less in taxes), but there surely are options to punish even high profile clubs.

Djebbour is a foreign object for olympiakos, he will not come back no matter what.

Well that's good news for us at least, thanks

The race for fourth place in the Premier League is effectively over if Liverpool sign Konoplyanka. Let's hope Dnipro won't sell in January!

Really you rate him that high City? I can't even see him getting in the team lol? Liverpool have a lackluster defense right now, even without the injuries it is poor. Also not helped by Mignolet not having his best season ever. Add in their holding midfielders are pretty average and now Gerrard getting found out in that position as well leaves them open.
However where i admit they are good right now is they have Sturridge and Suarez who are on fire in front of goal. They have Sterling who has awesome pace and is growing with every game he plays. Then they have Coutinho who is also slowly coming to terms with the league. Add in a bench with some "half" decent options on it in Moses......ok maybe just Moses they aren't that bad. Another winger is going to play instead of Sterling/Sturridge/Coutinho? Not sure if that works

Yeah, Uefa didn't stop AC Milan from entering the champions league that year and are probably not going to do much against Barcelona. But you never know in what mood Platini is in!
edit: Pandemona, I think Henderson is having a great season btw. He was/is quite average, but he decided to up his level for this season.

Shit yeah sorry forgot him xD Exactly so who the hell do you leave out for this Fast Ukrainian winger :s Seems like a silly signing (from my point of view) when they have 0 DMs of any use and a back 4 so frail and a keeper who isn't having the best of seasons.

ehh Mignolet has done pretty well from what I can see.

I don't know Rebs, he has been equally prone to errors to Reina in his bad year and doesn't have that physical presence as the Spaniard. Perhaps our expectations were just too high for his first season, but to me it looks like Liverpool got the wrong Belgium goalkeeper. (Not like the other one is available)
edit: Well he is only 25 so in that he can definitely get better from here.

I'm not sure how Rodgers would fit Konoplyanka in but he is a great talent. He's much better than Sterling but plays on the left mostly. The main thing he offers them is depth which they sorely lack at the moment (right now their attacking options on the bench are Alberto, Moses and Aspas).

I remember when they signed him i thought what the f....there are better keepers than him around? Also what is wrong with Reina. I mean Reina and Cech were by far the two best keepers in the premiership for about 5 seasons in a row. They would be going head to head for Clean Sheet awards every season. Then they just put him at the back and said no thanks we are going with Mignolet. Strange xD

So how many goals MCity going to score against Tottenham?
my bet is 3-1 or 4-1 :3
