He scores in the easy 5-0 wins and is completely useless in games where the rest of the team isnt doing too well. I always prefered Klose because even when the game is going bad you can see him create chances and change the flow of the game.

Most likely everyone lol I've been saying he is overrated since he was first labeled "world class", hahaha. I think most sane German fans have known since he started playing with the national team that, while he is definitely good, he's consistently been overrated. He's a great finisher, but he has absolutely no creativity and really can't do much unless he's given the ball. I have always preferred having Klose on the field because Gomez can't really contribute when Germany is sluggish and uninspired, and that's how they've lost in every international tournament for quite a while now. Coincidentally, I see Lewandowski as very similar to Gomez. He's younger, a little faster, maybe a little more talented with the ball, but he still doesn't really offer that much to the squad aside from his striking capabilities. There were numerous instances this past season where Dortmund drew/lost due to very uninspired and impotent play, and in these games, Lewandowski would completely disappear. Strikers have to be great finishers. The rest is of course nice, but not as important. When you're talking about creativity and contributing you're not talking about a "true" striker. This is absolutely true, and Gomez is a great striker (and Lewandowski is even better), but at the end of the day there are several strikers out there that can offer more than just finishing skill, and when there are, suddenly it becomes a little bit harder to be considered one of the best when you are missing a skill set that other strikers have. Many of the top goalscorers don't even play the CF position, so having such a one-dimensional skill set isn't the ideal situation. When there are so many wingers and midfielders that can significantly contribute to goals, I'd much rather have someone who is a little worse at finishing than someone like Lewandowski but has more skill in other areas, and I don't think I'm alone. I agree, well said!

Spox are clickwhores though, they will create a little article for everything, like "Today Pep said this while training". And they are a little bit Bayern-focused, because a) well, Bayern has the most fans and b) their team is based in Munich.

Barcelona midfielder Thiago has decided to join Bayern Munich. The player would have closed a personal deal with the German club. [cope] Thiago, who has an 18M buyout clause, has rejected offers from Man United and Real Madrid. He would get a 4M year salary at Bayern. [cope]

He's very good, aggressive and can drive good chances in at ease. He's fast and strong, not really technical but can throw defenders off every once in a while. I'd compare him with Gomez, difference is he's much much more aggressive hunting every opportunity. Last year Mirallas, now Djebbour, Q_Q.
