Yes, but as stated previously in this thread he has the choice to play for a couple other nations as well. The reasoning at this time is that he doesn't want to pick a country yet and wants to focus on his team(ManU) first. Kind of BS if you ask me

I totally respect it if he wants to prioritize playing for his club over the national team. I never liked all that crap where players can pick their country though, play for the country youre raised in!

As a Belgian that would make me sad, but if you ever want to see Januzaj on a international level he can't choose us. As he plays the same position as Hazard he'd be a good substitute but probably nothing more for a long time

Yeah he would sit on the bench for Belgium. If he is a good as he is showing, he would walk into the LW spot imo. As he clearly is better than Welbeck (well more potential anyway)

If its about his career, ie money, it should be England. His agent would surely push for him to choose England regardless of his true allegiance. The pure endorsements alone would dwarf that of any other country he can play for, even Belgium, and he would probably become England's only and next hope, like Rooney all over again. I guess he might not want that pressure and the undoubted failure of the team time and time again but still.

in terms of what's "smart" in terms of economical or career I'd definitely guess england as long as he's playing in the PL.. comparing marketability and attractiveness of english PL players and foreign PL players of similar skill, the difference is large and obvious.

but with him already stating albania I guess that's what he identifies the most as, and I think choosing the country that you personally want to represent is the smartest thing to do in terms of like, being happy.

So what I gathered from the Utd vs. Sunderland game was that instead of having our wingers put in useless crosses, now we can't even get the ball there anymore since someone like Lee Cattermole who's by no means a bad player can just boss the Utd midfield around whenever Fellaini isn't there. Sunderland's pressing was apparently too much for Cleverly to handle. I think Anderson might even be better since he can actually occasionally make some standard lob passes. Cleverly can't even turn with the ball.

Glad Young seems to have used up his chances, Januzaj obviously better. Nani, though far from this best, is at least somewhat creative. Rafael is much better than Smalling. Both Vidic and Ferdinand have been terribly shaky since the start of the season. VPS gets like one decent chance every game, not his fault. Rooney can't hold the ball. Moyes needs to revamp the tactics as the only goals have come from cut back crosses vs. bad backlines and Rooney free-kicks. I hope Utd can at least secure a CL spot this season.

Vincent Kompany is out for up to four weeks after sustaining another groin injury against Everton.

Marouane Fellaini is likely to have surgery to repair damaged ligaments in his wrist, could miss up to seven weeks. He's still going to play for Belgium though, because he's a tank.

So used to seeing the word 'draw' used in football I forgot the word 'tie' existed as a result. I always thought it went if the scores are tied at the end of a match it is declared a draw? As in the word tie is used to emphasize the results are equal during a match but if the scores are tied at the end of a match it becomes a draw... idk, getting confused

As far as I know, 'tie' only refers to things like league standings, goalscoring standings etc. Contrary to word 'draw', it's used to describe indirect rivalries and joint, equal outcomes of them. English commentators don't really use it in a context of games in progress with equal goal count; they often say something like "The game is now level." or simply "It's 1-1 / 2-2" etc.

English native speakers, correct me if I'm wrong.
