De Telegraaf are claiming that Tottenham have launched a bid for Ajax star Christian Eriksen - but it is reportedly well below the Dutch club's €15million valuation of the player.
Not terribly pleased about this one. For all the talk of Eriksen's prodigious talent, no big clubs have gone in for him. He's a step down from Willian at the very least. Personally I would prefer Hernanes from Lazio.

Eriksen is quite picky or he would already be in Leverkusen. He wants his new club to be a step up in prestige. I don't know if Tottenham are a step up in his opinion, unlike Ajax they don't play CL.

Living in London and playing in the Premier League are pretty big factors as well. I just don't know if he's good enough. Looking at the other teams gunning for top 4, Eriksen would need to be on par with Rooney, Silva, Cazorla, and all 15 of Chelsea's attacking midfielders. I'd much prefer a guy like Hernanes who has proven himself in a difficult league. Actually, the best option is to play Lamela in the middle and bring in Hulk to play on the right, but Zenit say he isn't for sale.
