They were by far the best team last season with no Thiago. I think to some people no matter what he does will ruin this "complete" team. Even if he just sits their and does nothing there will be an excuse to complain haha. For us realists, itll just be another good Bayern team under a new coach and a very high, almost unachievable feat to repeat. I bet when Barca did the treble, them not doing it again the year after was because the team was "ruined" United to for that matter. Must have been Fergie fucking things up.. lets just take a step back and be realistic, a clutch goal and a draw hardly calls for alarms going off anywhere.

Also : http://espnfc.com/team/fixtures/_/id/83/season/2008/league/esp.1/barcelona?cc=4716 These are Barcelona's results for La Liga 08-09 when Guardiola arrived... 1 loss 1 draw => 9 wins in a row. Then treble at the end of the season. Not saying he's going to repeat this (which would be just HUGE) but people need to calm down... Bayern appears to be weak on the physical aspect, which is something "normal" for the big teams in August. They should be ready in 1 month when the CL starts :O Concerning Thiago, well, he hasn't played him in his right position yet so it's difficult to judge, but I always said that these 25M€ were a very good price for Barcelona... Imo he just doesn't have the tactical discipline to succeed in a big team like Barcelona/Bayern.

Imo he just doesn't have the tactical discipline to succeed in a big team like Barcelona/Bayern. I am getting sick of people saying Guardiola ruins Bayern. he has 10 points out of 4 games with a complete new coaching staff, a complete new system and some injuries (Schweinsteiger, Martinez, Götze, Dante). The same (media) people that laught about Barca after the 0 : 7 for not changing their system are the same that are saying "why is Guardiola so stupid to change a working system"? Or even better the people that were said a couple of years ago "why is not everyone playing like Barca." If you don´t want to change a system don´t bring a new coach. If you don´t want a ball possession based system don´t buy Pep Guardiola. With Thiago i think Bayern couldnt do wrong buying him for 25 M. He is 22 years old, talented enough for sure to make it and even if it turns out that he doesnt work he can be selld for at least 20 Million. When you look at the other transfers this summer he was a pretty good deal. And to the "the team will miss Thiago?"? Yes he isn´t the most important player right now but c´mon what else should he say?: "Nahhh easy its okay he is injured he sucks and the other guys doesnt like him anyway.."

Generelly, I agree with you on the second statement, I don't think they really need Thiago (at the moment). Yet they have huge problems on this position, because Martinez is injured, Schweinsteiger is injured and now Thiago is injured as well and they sold Gustavo. Kroos would be the next alternative but I don't think that Kroos is that suitable for this position.
