No one sells 2014 1st Rounders. Could be the best draft since 2003. 76er traded away Holiday for a 1st rounder basically.
I think that's a little bit much. It's a good draft with 2-4 players that might be really amazing - but we don't know how it's going to work out until the college season.

people are getting excited from the high school class alone

Yeah, Perry Jones III and Shabazz Muhammad were tops of their high school classes too. Jabari Parker and Andrew Wiggins are almost as sure things as sure things can be. But those two 6' 9" wings, Randal and Gordon? We won't know
So I was busy all day and just tuned in- as someone who doesn't pay attention to college ball, Anthony Bennett at #1 came out of nowhere to me. 6ers trade seems moronic. Not only are you giving up a great player in Holiday, you're also giving away your pick in the '14 draft, which is probably lottery given the state of the team, for a player who has great potential, yes, but with a knee injury, and anything could happen.

Holiday to the Pelicans for Noel and Pelican's '14 pick. 76ers in full tank mode trying to snag two studs in next year's draft.

Makes slightly more sense with the pick going the other way. Pelicans still will probably be in the lottery this year as well, and you're obviously tanking, so it's 2 picks in a stacked draft. Too bad the only good asset on your team is a gimped Bynum.
