i think tortorella has got to go tbh. to have a team with that much talent, with richards, nash, callahan, hagelin, and kreider to name a few and have that piss-poor of a powerplay is pathetic oh well hoping the bruins can beat the pens, although i'm not getting my hopes up

I think the bruins can take the penguins, they have a far less impressive goalie and a even worse d line, this isn't as clear cut as people think. Sometimes I wonder why not all people think this way Especially since the Sens and the Islanders haven't won any cups since the 80's (Sens with 0 cups), yet the Bruins have placed high in the playoffs consistently for the past few years. Just because the former two were knocked out easily, that doesn't mean the Bruins will.

The Penguins have a lot of players with ridiculously good core strength and stick handling, so even though the Bruins D is better. I think the Penguins will work them harder in their own zone compared to lets say the Leafs and we know how that series went. The other thing the Bruins have to avoid is another dry spell when it comes to scoring. I think the Penguins are more than capable of outscoring them. That's the real bottom line. I expect this one to go at least six games. Leaning towards the Pengs obviously.

Even though I want Chicago to win, as I have their players in my pool, but man, Detroit is having a defensive breakdown. Two goals, the Hawk players were just standing there...

If we (Detroit) lose this, I really don't think we can win game 7. Chicago is getting such a big momentum.

In a way I wish the Red Wings hadnt made the playoffs, then Holland would finally come to grips with the fact that sitting on your hands for 4 years doesnt work, and start clearing up all the old garbage littering the team. But then again, going to two game 7s in their last time in the Western Conference was pretty sweet too. Its just too bad they are going like total punks. Game 5 was awful throughout. As was the third period in Game 6.

Howard would have to pull another Jesus mode, ala game 4 because the defense is too awful and outside of Datsyuk, Zetterberg and Nyquist no one is trying in front. O well, for a year where Ken Holland's brilliant move was to bring in Samuelson and Tootoo it was a good run and I am okay with it. The real worry is that Holland will think his 'strategy' of assembling a bunch of garbage on the defense is 'working' and he wont do what the team needs, add an actual defender and a power forward for Datsyuk because Abelkader ....well i dont know, whatever reason they think having a 3rd line checker on Datsyuks wing is a good idea. See, this is why having two 7 game series obscures peoples views. It is a trash defense, with only one legitimate NHLer, one potential NHLers and the rest basically AHL guys. Jimmy Howard just bailed it out for 7 wins so far. Had the Wings ended up playing a more defensive team in the first round it would have been a repeat of the Predators series from last year, a quick 4-1 exit.
