They can't keep letting the Hawks shoot 40+ shots even if they are blocking another 20 odd shots. Thats way too many shots to ask your goalie to stop without putting some goals up on the scoreboard. It really looks like the Wild are just playing to not lose instead of playing to win. Well, for one, we just don't have the skill (or, more specifically the depth past maybe the 2nd line). More importantly, I think you're right; we don't have the heart to actually fight for wins, even if we are the underdog.

The Jackets would be trying to win every battle and be physical. Watching these games its like the Wild are content sitting back and watching the Hawks play with the puck and get off the shots they like. Sure theyre keeping them to the outside, but that doesn't do a hell of a lot when theyre taking the sheer amount of shots the Hawks are

That game was a monumental turd by the Penguins, like after the first period they thought they had the series won and stopped playing with focus and reverted to their last year vs. Flyers "no discipline, we're too talented, teams should just roll over for us" state. Bylsma needs to chew them out and light a fire under them, cause he knows what happened last year. I think they do that and come out fine, but if they suck tomorrow all bets are off, anything could happen. Going on the road will be good for them, it's harder to fall into arrogant complacency there.

somebody pull Claude Lemieux out of retirement so he can break up this scoreless tie. i dont know how that is not a delay of game penalty.. but .. whatever.... it'll be interesting to hear what Torterella has to say if the Rangers lose.

So many iconic moments... Quinn's body check on Orr... Stevens knocking out Kozlov...then Kariya... then Kariya responding with a goal... Clark's hat trick goal in LA in game 6 to tie it 4-4... Orr in overtime in 1970? Bobby Baun's broken leg overtime goal... Gigeure winning the Conne Smythe but losing in 7... The picture of Trevor Linden was brutal to watch.. he was a great captain. The only thing this video was missing was Bobby Clarke's toothless 1974 grin as he held the cup. ![]()
