That's how the Pens lose? -_- makes sense based on how awful both teams were in their own end and in net since that playoff series, they've both been fucking awful in their own end, but it still manages to be really entertaining Game Flyers Pens 1 4 3 7 2 8 5 13 3 8 4 12 4 3 10 13 5 2 3 5 6 5 1 6 RS1 1 3 4 RS2 6 5 11 TOTAL 37 34 71 71 goals in 8 games against since then lol e: also hockey yall other news: rick nash apparently didnt travel with the rangers. fuck my life. dude's been their best player by miles this year and it isn't even close. he's doing something positive every single game, almost every shift, even if he isnt scoring. gabby's got that level of talent as well. maybe it's his size, but he goes through stretches where he just disappeares and gets dominated. nash doesnt at all it seems

e: also I was so amazed that the refs didn't blow the whistle on that. There was no way that one guy at the net had sight of the puck the entire time T_T

Never like to see a player get injured. Even if it's Clutterbuck. If they suspend him (probably will, new NHL and all), I'll be interested to see the shanna-points. Probably call it 'wreckless' or something, since it doesn't appear as though there was a knee injury on the play (Clutterbuck is reportedly dealing with a thigh injury).

At any rate, I can't say I feel particularly sympathetic for a dude who constantly takes runs at people while wearing a visor and hardly ever fights

Hawk just because they collapsed last season doesn't mean it will happen the next. In fact, the old Leaf credo would be for them to fall off around Dec to Feb taking them completely out of the picture only to start making a run too late for several seasons but really irrelevant because like I said. That was that season and I see no reason to dissect it. I don't know man. Seems like you watch a lot of highlights but I don't think you pay close enough attention to the Marlies let alone the Leafs. From the sound of it, I get the sense that you feel they can make it this year but not the next. Yeah, that's because it's a completely different season. Don't dwell on the past. That and look at how many guys they would have to sign next year which includes: Kostka, Franson and Gardiner. In either case, I do like this year's team considering we're much bigger, we lead the league in hits and we can fight (lead the league in fights too) and have a lot of weapons. The Leafs are a good hockey club for once and come playoff time and I can finally say we'll be tough to play against. Carolina and the Bruins still seem to have their number though! Also, I noticed you guys were commenting on the analysts. That's not entirely true when it comes to the commentary on the face-offs whether it be defensive zone or offensive zone and their percentages. For instance, when we got David Steckel from the Devils even Ron Wilson was using him as a specialist when it came to the draw because of his percentages. They commented on it regularly last season. I don't mind the commentary let alone the analysts all that much on either side of the border in the same vein we don't expect a whole lot out of the SC2 commentators. The experts don't really need to be told in either case because we see it for ourselves. There is one other thing I'd like to comment on and that's Vladimir Tarasenko. I think we all knew that it was a matter of time before this guy would get rocked because he keeps his head down a lot and the way he positions himself on the boards. Lots of analysts were commenting on this before and what do you know! He's now on the IR lol. Got to keep your head on a swivel me boy! He had it coming sadly.

I don't he hit him in the head, but he probably still deserves at least one game. The league is probably afraid to suspend him because then it will set a precedent and they'll have to suspend people for similar stuff which they wouldn't normally.

on what planet is that not a suspension worthy play (besides this one )? this was also a retalitory hit from earlier in the game i cant wait for a plugger like asham to take his fucking head off next time. the league doesnt suspend for blatant cheap shots by a coward to afraid to fight to get his revenge, but has no problem suspending players for slight contact to the head on a shot where two people are moving really fast. it's ridiculous

Was ejected + 5 minute major near the end of the game. Glad those bastards lost 3-1 and I hope Hall gets suspended for that shit. who the hell is clutterbuck? usually the good players get smashed not the scrubs. anyways its the League s problem nowadays they dont punish properly while restricting retaliation. backthen if yo had your player knocked out, the whole team was on your case, people were then not tempted to act like this. i agree for a clean hockey league with less hits, but you have to impose it not have an "inbetween" stand.
