Quick is going to have to play out of his mind for the Kings to even have a chance and hes going to get worn down eating 40+ shots a game Oh it's well documented. Not only do they have to find a way to get goals, but they do have to find ways to win on the road as well. The first trick would actually be getting the puck. The Kings looked like a peewee team for most of the first. Hell their first shot was like 11:48 into the game. I think everyone over hyped Quick's stats through this post season considering he play against 2 of the worst offenses in the playoffs and now has to face one of the best in the league. I just dont see this Kings team stealing a game on the road they have 1 win on the road so far and I cant see that changing they just arent a good road team
I wouldn't say we're overrating Quick's abilities. I mean we did talk about those first two games against St. Louis and his man-up power, but the real heat is on the rest of the team as you put it when it comes to puck control and getting good opportunities. It's not just the road record but it's the fact that L.A. hasn't really looked like a threat at all. It's always a game of inches when it comes to their club.

I love watching Sutter's poor coaching get exposed. Quick has an average game and the team falls apart like a cheap suit.

Kopitar and Brown looked fairly anonymous last night. Carter certainly created, though. The Hawks played really well, and the execution on that Seabrook goal was beautiful. Sutter's coaching does lack at times, but CHI will win this series with their superior talent and execution

God Pitt has bad defense Vokoun was hung out to dry there
|
Too bad the guy who was all over MAFs nuts is banned or whatever, I'd love him to defend the Flower now.

ROFL not even three minutes before the first MAF goal
e: first shot hahahahahahahahahahahah

Wow Fleury, just wow. That lack of a save right there felt like waving bye to the series.

Say what you will, but damn, Iginla must be pissed.
EDIT: And apparently so is Jokinen
"I always say whoever finds a way to cheat most in the faceoff is the best," Jokinen said Monday. "I feel Bergeron does the best. He cheats a lot, but in a way that the linesman lets him take those draws. We have to find a way to cheat more and find the fine line on what is allowed and what is not. If we can't win clean, we have to create some more 50-50 pucks and have some help from our wingers."

I almost feel sorry for Iginla. Almost.

Wow this is starting to look ugly for the penguins, couldn't happen to a nicer team ^^
|
Pens are just falling apart. They just look ugly out on the ice =/
|
lol penguins. i love the people who kept pointing out that the bruins lost the season series versus the penguins. i hate the bruins (god damn leafs) but i hate the penguins more bruins v. hawks was probably inevitable. basically what was expected.

It's a shame we had to go back to our old habits no? Still, we were due to fall apart eventually even if it wasn't against the Bruins.

Maybe the Pens can trade Malkin for an entire defense corps, they sure as hell need it.
|
I said this before the series started. The Pens would get destroyed because they fold like a cheap suit in these types of situations. They have a godly offense but in the playoffs you need a complete team that knows how to do more then put the puck in the net. Their other specialties of whining and acting like toddlers don't cut it.
|
It's as if Letang forgot how to play defense. He's always been a very offensive defensemen, but christ he's been terrible these two games
|
yeah
pens forwwards arent exactly helping out well in their own end. neal was in them iddle of nowhere on the last goal
|
Letang is and has been for quite a while the most overrated player on the Penguins by far. He has some great skills but some great weaknesses as well that people who don't watch him a lot forget about, it's not new. Also I've had enough Bylsma for one lifetime at this point I think. If he stays I don't think I can bear watching another year of this.
Just to add salt, he scratched my favorite player TK (the best effort guy on the team) today.
