so time for a post here again. was vacation with gf where i did nothing but eat tons of good food & drink all day. back home i fell into a semi depression where i again didnt do shit other then sit at home and smoke all day. dont want to bore you with details. anyways took me 3 sessions to mostly get back to where i was before. and now finally making some progress again. also new weights arrived so i can go further on my dl now.
stats atm:
bw ~ 87kg@187cm , all stuff 5x5 except DL which i do like till i cant get it of the floor anymore.
squat 75 OHP 45 bench 70 rows 67.5 dl 115
changed my squat stance to be less wide which seems to help with the pain on left leg and power.first progress on that for like ages.ohp&bench are still where they were like 2 months ago but inconsistent training and slumps like described above do that i guess. but slowly approaching bw squat and 1.5 bw dl feels good. also i fukkin love deadlifting, even when its no dl day i do 5x2-3 with just bw at the end cause its fun.
should do way more mobility work but its just way less fun then lifting so have a hard time doing that often enough.
lets see if i can keep it up this time.

Low bar squats today for the first time in about 4 months, it pretty disappointing. 3x5 at 140kg and it didn't feel good, I'm hoping it's something I'll just get back into, as I get used to the movement again and dial the form in.
I'm pretty sure the last time I'd done low bar I got 3x5 at 165-170kg, so it's pretty demoralising but kind of at the same time spurs an anger to get good at them again. I'll try again on Friday with 145.

i feel like my pulling is a lot worse than my pushing. i can do 5x5 bw+5 dips, but i can barely manage 5x3 good form pullups (the previous pullups I've been doing were not complete full ROM pullups, and i thought i'd fix that). can also bench more than row. deadlift vs squat weights are just because i used to dislike deadlifts, so i didn't put much effort into improving them, but i've always done pullups and rows, but they don't seem to be improving.

Hit a 2 plate deadlift the other day, that was pretty cool. Felt easy, but I think I'm going to slow down to 5 lb/workout increments rather than 10 just because. Still gives me 10 lbs/week since I deadlift on tuesdays and fridays for now. Puts me at 3 plates by halloween if I don't stall/change progression before then, which is a month before I "wanted" to hit it. Sounds good to me!
Also Front squatted today. Did 95 lbs 5x3 - doesn't sound like a lot, but considering that BW squats were putting me in bed unable to stand up for days at a time earlier this summer, I'll definitely take that! =D. I'm staying the hell away from back squats for a long time yet, but this is awesome progress in my mind.
Next exercises to reintroduce are box jumps and power cleans. Then Full cleans and deadlift variations. Then the back squat. Taking it very slow and carefully though - I don't expect to be regularly back squatting until well after there's a 2014 progress thread up.

Can really feel my legs getting stronger (been squatting a lot these last two weeks) and more confidence/consistency at limit weights. Going to fucking ruin all my gains this weekend (visiting campus for welcome week + football game + rugby alumni weekend) but after that I see myself hitting 500lb squat by december (in time for the american open!)

Spent the last 2 weeks going in and out of the hospital getting treated for an infection in my cheek, Couldn't eat anything solid, couldn't train. Felt like death was coming and I lost 15 lbs. everything is back to normal and it's time to get back in the gym and punish the iron into the ground!

doing stronglifts for nearly 2 months and one day of break isn enough to rest... damn shit is starting to get difficult. Also i started to add 2.5kg intead of 5 in OHP x.x

Snatched up to 195lbs then missed 205 barely. I had the lockout for like a second but couldn't hold it. I'll get it next week!

Topin, adding 5kg to the ohp is toughhhh. i used to do that when i didn't have access to a barbell, and only did dumbbell overhead presses, and the dumbbells only went up by 5 pound increments, so 2 of them = 10.

If I up my food intake (a bit) and my protein intake (some more) are 2 hour bike rides two to three nights a week gonna kill my progress for my legs? Hmm

if the weather's nice and you wanna go for a bike ride, please go for it lol. even if it does hinder your gainz a little, it's totally worth it cuz you seem like you really enjoy it

Yep I did 41km last night and can barely do squats today but it was well worth it. Actually if i think about it, I used to bikecride a lot then squat the next day usually was fine. I need to recondition my body for that again.

had to cut my workout short today to get to class on time. Managed to finish bench (5x5) front squats (5x3) and split squats (3x10) but had to skip out on dips.
I finally have access to a set of rings, but ring dips are hard as hell to do, so I'm going with a "do as many as you can" approach, then subtracting that number from the reps I do on bars, and trying to do more rings every time. currently doing 4x10 on bars, with something like the first four of the first set coming from the rings.

last 3 reps on the squat were done with kinda iffy form. gonna redo 5x5 185 on thurs. also didnt have time to do deadlifts, so i might go to the gym tomorrow just for them.
decafchicken, just curious, why btn press instead of regular? im guessing it is more beneficial for oly lifting because the bar position and path resemble the oly lifts more than regular press's...
