went down to florida to visit my brother last week, so didn't have access to a gym. did a ton of pistols, pistols with weights, dips, L-sits, and pushups instead. the pistols actually felt a LOT easier since i started barbell squatting, compared to before.

this morning
squat 3x5 175lb
ohp 3x5 55
dips 4x5 bw+5
leg lifts 3x8

i also have no idea how many calories i eat, since i never measure how much food i make/eat. i'm kinda curious though, and i might calculate it next meal...

Squats: 110 kg
barbel rows: 80kg
OHP: 55kg (5/5/5/4/4 FML)
Bench press: 80kg
DL: 110kg

i would define my style between a mix of ByuN, Maru and MKP

Finishing first week of Texas tomorrow, should be fun. my buddy did a round of smolov for FS and is looking to get a single at ~155, 160, which would put him at a solid 15-20 kg PR for the whole program

Squats - 135 225 5x315 3x365 2x405 1x425 445 455 465 475x
BTN Press - 145 - 8,7,5
Chin ups - 8,8,6

Someone asked me for help on their squats...literally couldn't even do a 1/4 squat before they went on their toes. Not much i can do with that T_T
how reasonable is it to eat off wood instead of your tummy?

Make them sit down to a box, or box with plates on it, and gradually remove plates. Also, wall squats. Although, it is a lot of trouble to go through if you aren't getting paid to coach or they are just an acquaintance or something.

Probably a situation where teaching the Rippetoe squat is actually a good idea (even though I kinda bashed on it a few pages back lol). Rippetoe style is easy to explain and teach, and easier to do for someone starting out with mobility issues.

Yeah it was just a guy in the gym asking for some help and i only had an hour to get my lift in so i told him to shoot me an e-mail so i could send him some mobility stuff.

My clients i actually get paid to train i work with a ton on mobility. God it's a nightmare.
how reasonable is it to eat off wood instead of your tummy?

Must be awesome to get payed to teach proper lifting form. I actually like teaching and at least on the bench/squat/deadlift I can really make ppl stronger and point out mistakes quite easily.

Yeah i don't mind helping out people, i constantly do it for free when i'm lifting but if some people insist on paying me than :D

ieatkids do you write the weights in terms of how much each dumbbell weighs or total weight?

Probably doesn't have 22.5lb dumbbells available to him but you never know

I'm pretty sure the standard is the individual dumbbell when recording it though.

What would you guys say is more beneficial to recovery and performance after a workout: a cold or a hot shower?

To the more experienced lifters:
At what point would you suggest switching from sets of 5 to triples/doubles/singles (for power lifts)?
How do you decide if you're going to attempt a double instead of a triple and vice versa?
Would you suggest doing singles for people who will most likely never compete?
What is the advantage of triples over sets of 5?
How would you go about hitting a triple (amount of sets of said triple/warm up/back off set)?

Have you tried the bulldozer bulking system? How is it working out for you?
I still need more time to evaluate its efficiency.
