My dad is lifting more than I do in just 3/4 weeks *tears*. He does have about 20 kg's more muscle than me. But still

Old man strength. Can't be beat. I've got about 40 pounds on my dad and 35 years younger and i'm pretty sure he could still beat my ass.

Is it normal to be sore after massage/lax ball? I had a guy work on my rotators cuffs a bit and did probably an hour+ of stretching/lax ball rolling and i'm pretty sore today despite only doing some light snatches/cleans.
how reasonable is it to eat off wood instead of your tummy?

I'd say that it's probably normal to be a bit sore. Since you're breaking up a lot of the dense scar tissue and increasing blood flow it doesn't seem out of the realm possibility that you'd be sore. Is it like DOMS or more just tenderness?

That's good. Hope it goes away pretty soon though! My tendons were so tight the guy said it was like playing a guitar string rofl. Probabably should have started taking better care of them like two years ago T_T Just hope nothing tears when I go for some max weights on friday.

Can anyone recommend a dairy free protein shake? I switched to a dairy free diet a couple of weeks ago and I'm really starting to miss post gym protein shakes.

Just don't make your protein shakes with milk? lol

Unless you're looking for non-whey protein? You can look at rice and soy alternative. I don't know why you would though.

Thanks a lot man, the ON gold standard is my favourite whey so it would be pretty nice if their dairy free stuff is a good as their whey protein.

No problem; I know that some guys at my gym prefer the hydro stuff to the regular. It's a little pricier but ON is the shit, you get what you pay for. Texture is smooth always, taste is good always. Just a little pricier than some other brands. Steve Cook uses Hydrowhey I think too. There's some wheys that are completely different (Kai Greene has that Carnivore thing based on steak, and there's rice and soy alternatives but afaik a whey isolate like hydrowhey is your best bet).
