I tried GOMAD a little while ago and about 2 weeks in my acne, that had been fairly under control due to antibiotics, was the worst it had been in a long time. So I did some research and found out the links between milk and acne and decided to try and go dairy free and I'm a few weeks in and my acne is as good as it was with antibiotics, and I'm not even using any right now, so that's the main reason.
Also I think I'm slightly lactose intolerant, nothing major I can eat a bowl of cereal and be fine but when I'm bulking, if I make something dairy based I'm going to be eating a lot of dairy and my body seems to have a bit of trouble handling that.
I never realised how much I liked dairy food until I actively tried to avoid it, I was torn between wanting my acne to improve and wanting it to stay the same so I could go back to eating dairy. It was my birthday a few weeks ago and I went out to a restaurent and couldn't order a lot of the food on the menu, and then couldn't have any of the deserts

I actually had a similar situation with GOMAD. I don't consider myself lactose intolerant, but I am definitely "gallon of lactose" intolorant lol.
Found this: http://www.supplementwarehouse.com/brand.asp?brand=1424&Criteria=whey&Search=Go!&pxc=1&sh=1
Apparently the company founder is lactose intolorant, and made this so he could take it.

Yeah I imagine a lot of people start to show signs of lactose intolorance when they get up to that level of milk, the human body is really designed to be able to digest that much milk.
Thanks for that but unfortunately lactose isn't the ingredient in milk that's supposed to make acne worse. It's something to do with the bacteria or enzymes I don't exactly know but it means no whey protein.

It's something to do with the bacteria or enzymes I don't exactly know but it means no whey protein. Have you ever tried using a different acne medication instead of just cutting out dairy? I have issues with dairy due to lactose intolerance I've had moderate acne for a long time now (going on 5 or 6 years, but I'm 16 so I guess that's kind of normal) and recently started salicylic acid based products. They've worked amazingly, literally no "backne" anymore and the acne on my face has improved significantly.
Obviously you can choose to just not eat any dairy to make it better, but unless it's absolutely terrible or you have an objection to using acne medication, I don't see why you couldn't just try different washes/creams.
