Whyyyy? Oh well, gonna make the best of it Oh man, frown town. I hate doing that to myself. The dilemma of training in shitty shape or missing a day just kills me. Haha it actually wasn't that bad. The hardest part is waking up, when I'm there its actually pretty good. Of course if I do it several days in a row its just bad news bears all around
During the workout your body creates stimulants which act like a natural painkiller and will also remove all sleepiness and energize you during workouts. On the downside, you crash extra hard post-workout.
That is also why even if you have a pretty bad injury, the pain numbs and sometimes goes away during a workout, after getting warmed up. It's also why even if you are really de-energized and tired and demotivated, you suddenly get this insane motivational and energetic boost after you're done warming up.

Yeah the hardest part for me is usually getting up long enough to load my body with stimulants so i can get a workout in, then i usually take a 3 hour nap after lol.

Oh ya, I kill the pre working stuff.

Yeah, been training without any pre workout lately and it's been great, but if i'm tired/hungover it really helps me salvage a decent workout :-p

Never mind working out, if I don't get my morning coffee I turn into my secret alter-ego The Complete Retard for the rest of the day.

- It takes aproximately 9 days of detoxication to remove all caffeïne tolerance in your body. - Consuming more than 100mg of caffeïne a day, results in you building up tolerance. - When you are experiencing withdrawal symptoms, you are likely not even getting the positive effects from caffeïne anymore, due to tolerance. - Long term >100mg/day caffeïen exposure makes it so you're operating at say 90% of your normal levels, and coffee fixes it back to 100. - Non-caffeïne users operate at 100% and with caffeïne they get a boost to 110% (Note the numbers are fictive, just to make it easier on the facts)
I have a challenge for you: Go 9 days without caffeïne, cold turkey style. Afterwards, drink one cup of coffee before your workout and look at the insane boost you will receive, compared to your nullified boost due to tolerance you are having now.
And from that moment on I'd suggest sticking to 100mg caffeïne a day. You can sporadically go higher, but it's really not worth it on a daily basis.

Do you have a source for those facts? Not trying to call you out just genuinely curious. I've read similar things and also have read the complete opposite. I usually stick to 1, maybe two if i'm sleepy cups a day and sometimes preworkout (so anywhere from 100-500mg/day). I never feel like i'm operating "below normal"(whatever that refers too? mental power? physical power?) and have often stopped cold turkey for a week at a time with no negative effects.

I got angry at first, but then I recognized the problem and just went to bed. Or so I thought. Tired as fuck, could barely hold my eyes open but I kept surfing the web on my phone for another hour.
Whyyy brain, whyyyyyyyy? Get your shit together, gainz>lp.

Working this summer. Probably not eating enough unfortunately. Esp not enough protein. My lifts are showing it. Girls + car + going to MLG anaheim this last weekend have kept me out of whack.
I think I'm going to start pullups.

I usually have exactly 1 cup of coffee a day (morning cup). Dunno how that translates into mg, but to quit cold turkey would surely mean feeling like shit for no less than a week. If I were to quit I'd probably lower my daily intake for a week first.

Oh sorry I only read that post now, I'd have to look it up again. I don't bookmark all that I read, but I'll see if I can find you the related study. Any part in particular which you're curious about?

Any and all. I enjoy reading things like this ^_^

Probably 100-200mg depending on the size/strength of said coffee. You probably wouldn't feel many if any symptoms.

But I do, if I miss my morning coffee I have until lunch, after that I get a migraine and can't hold a thought in my head.

I always take my coffee black, but it's funny how many calories people have managed to cram into it.
