acetaminophen is metabolized by the liver, but the process has some toxic intermediates that last for a good while. It's no problem if theyre taken in moderation, as the liver is pretty good at what it does, but chronic use causes inflammation and we all know that chronic inflammation is bad.
not sure what the systemic effects of ibuprofen are. Never looked into it, because I barely ever take it. My sister takes TONS of tylenol.

Found a real gym that's about 40 minutes away so I'm gonna drop in there, looks pretty decent. (www.novastrong.com)
They list USAW and catalyst athletics above crossfit in their affiliates ("friends and support") so I'd take that as a good sign.
I have to wonder what kind of looks you get front sqauatting 4 plates at a crossfit? Or c&J 155 kg, since all the internet articles I can find say that Rich Froning's max is only 161 kg.

Usually a mix of confusion/terror/impressed. Helped a bunch of people out with their front squatting. I beat the gym record fs by 70 pounds after maxing snatch/cj lol. It's a nice ego boost compared to my coach who is always breaking me down. People usually ask me where I crossfit at (lol) and then try to name drop so and so crossfitters they know that are oly lifters.

Graduation party tonight, went it for an early workout. Ended up cleaning 95kg 3 times (no jerk) and C&J 90kg for 5 singles. I'm sure I can hit 100kg but I'm just so fucking scared of dropping metal plates on a concrete floor, it's holding me back haha. Hopefully crossfit becomes more popular in Mexico in the near future and more/cheaper gyms open up - right now there's only one crossfit gym in my area and it's so fucking expensive (around 110USD a month, I pay 20USD for my current gym haha) and I don't think they would let me lift by myself.

Congrats! I just graduated too. Shoot the xfit an e-mail, worth a shot. Or at least they might let you go and lift there for 20$/month since you're not doing their classes.

Crossfits in the US are $100-150 the majority of the time as well - despite being interested in trying out their workouts, I would never work out at one, Since after a year I could afford to outfit most of what would want in a home gym.

Finally done my undergrad. Stayed up till 6:30 in the morning drinking with some friends then went to lift at 2 pm. Hit 255 bench (5lb PR) but failed 265. Definitely had 260 in me but got greedy Lower back is completely gone for some reason... time to take a break from squatting

FFGen: I'm graduating with a bachelor of math, statistics major. Found a job in business intelligence starting in January

I graduated from the business school in supply chain management. I don't have a job, it starts never :-(

You'll find something for sure. Who could resist having such a beast at their company
Chin up!

Graduated with systems engineering, turned down a shit ton of offers and did my masters in computer science to make my parents and more importantly my grandparents happy (my family puts way too much emphasis on education). Now I am doing a job I could have done with just bachelors doing development for sales and trading systems at a bank, but with a slight better pay and hopefully quicker promotion.
Job pays okay, only took it because it's in Tokyo, a city that I love.

Decaf, I'm sure you'll be okay. I deeply believe that serious weight lifters demonstrate more discipline and dedication than anyone else. Channel some of your energies into job hunt, and you can definitely mention your achievements as an oly lifter

Meh I got my belgian citizenship. I'll just learn fr nch and move to Europe.

@decafchicken: you're confusin Europe with France, Europe is not a country you silly American~~~~
Jokes aside, how important do you guys think is rotator cuff work during rests?
|
i try to do lateral/delt side raises from time to time, but the most vital thing is at home, remembering/willing to never ever lie or lean on my sides (when sleeping or lying or slumping on the bed). 5 minutes doing that will fuck my shoulder so i cant do the lateral raises in the first place. i think this is a major weak point for many people, it doesnt seem to cross over with much else (i think only shrugs), and has a lot of utility (mobility, lifting, holding things, supporting your body at weird angles)

10x3x185lb bench 2x10 pullups
Don't think I will reach my end year goal of 225lbs 1rm, but 215 1rm still in sight

Actually got to lift at an oly gym today! couple not bad lifters. decent equipment and had a good time
snatch up to 130, close at 133 and bad at 135 lol cj up to 145, close at 150, and bad at 154 lol squat 120 140 150 160 170 180
4 hours of sleep and a bit too much tequila last night caught up to me. still not bad for my 6th day in a row.
