When will you be able to get back in the gym? You should find something you don't normally have time for and own it.

It's just a lame excuse... You will find exemples of legends with different body type (arm length vs torso length vs legs length).

My arms are super long and so are my legs vs a short torso. Urik Vardanian had a similar body frame (though smaller) and is, for me personally, the greatest Oly lifter ever. Same goes for Konstantin Konstantinovs (but much bigger) who's not too bad in powerlifting from what I heard. :p

Had an amazing day working out today!

Squat: Worked up to 3x3 with 107kg, felt incredibly heavy.
3 singles at 115
15 reps at 87kg (was challenged so I had to do it)

Clean, was going to do 67 for 5 sets of 3 reps, but felt so strong during warm-up I decided to go for a PR. Hit a 88kg clean for a 3kg pr. Felt so fucking good, been working alot on my form lately. I'm still horrible at getting under the bar so i basicly powerclean and then fall backwards when it's heavy.

Then did some clean pulls and ended the workout there.


My squat is 15kg short of what is has been, and I PR on my clean. God damnit I love PR'ing on cleans, it feels infinite times better than any other lift lol

Pretty happy with progress so far, I look to be super on pace for hitting 1000lb club before exams start in Dec.

BW at 197lbs, have gained like 20lbs since middle of summer but it has slowed down very considerably(probably gained too much too fast - maybe I should start counting macros or something instead of just trying to eat constantly?)

Nah, I don't lift at Semiahmoo or Lions Weightlifting club in White Rock and Surrey respectively (I would LOVE to lift at Semiahmoo though, great coach from what I've heard from my own coach and they have a full Eleiko set courtesy of the donation by 2003 WWC that was in Vancouver). I do most of my lifting at UBC since I'm a student there. I go out to East Vancouver to Terminal City Barbell club to work with my coach.

Update:

PR Snatch 80kg (from 75kg on Monday), took 4 attempts to get it
*** snatch took a lot out of me so I didn't go above 90% on my Clean and Jerk, just didn't have enough drive for the jerk
Clean and Jerk 90kg (PR is 100kg)
Front Squat 135kg (PR is 140)

Bodyweight: 93.5kg

So my recovery habilities extend to injuries aswell. Yesterday I was doing machine inward/outward hip when my left adductor (injury = left hamstring) crampped badly, like really painfully. Had to push and wait a few min before I could move again. Obv I tought I was screwed today.

Today wanted to try squats, warmed up more than usual, and to my surprise there is no hamstring/adductor pain but knee pain at 145, like really uncomfortable (left leg again). After a few sets it goes away, and I warm up all the way to 140. I go for my first set at 157.5 and I hit the with the disc (was not centered) the fucking rail of the squat rack, causing pain on my right adductor (lol). Said fuck it, did 157.5x3x3, lowered weight because of slight discomfort (and lack of conditioning :p) and did 140x3x7 while pain totally dissapeared.

Feels great man :D
