Yeah, feel a bit sorry for the guy as his spell with us didn't work out at all (for both sides) so hopefully he can move on this summer and find a club where he gets the playtime he deserves

Even chamakh, who looked awful all season got much more playing time. I think something happened in secret between him and wenger or something.

Nice OP. Was thinking about whipping one up myself, but I was lazy and figured you were on the case. Love the work you've put into it.
The signing of Giroud makes me very positive as a Gunners fan. Podolski not so much, as he looked pretty bad at the euros. Hopefully we can keep can Persie, but I'm starting to feel like he's gonna leave. Selling him feels like a now-or-never-thing as he's getting up there in age. Hopefully we can grab a title this year, this dry spell is getting sadder and sadder.

Bayern München sack director of sport (general manager) Christian Nerlinger and bring in Matthias Sammer. Quite a big deal.

I love photos of girls looking at the direction of footballers - where both are in the picture. It always looks like they're checking him out. Like that picture above, "Hmm Javi Martinez, I'd like a piece of him".

uruguay will probably win the group with suarez and cavani

Arsenal fans probably know Danny Rose really really well, plays for Tottenham, Taylor plays for Swansea I think. Dono Sordell. And if I was korea Id be scared of that team.

No Bale? wtf. Any English experts able to explain who Marvin Sordell, Danny Rose and Neil Taylor are? Bale has a tender back and doesn't want to risk missing the start of Tottenham's campaign.
Danny Rose is a left back who plays for Tottenham. He filled in for Assou-Ekotto at the end of last season, and ended their chances for third place by getting sent off vs Aston Villa. In the weeks before that, he was a huge defensive liability and his crosses were sloppy and inconsistent. I am shocked that he made the GB team to be honest.
edit: didn't read the post below where you linked the guardian article on Bale, sorry.

Dono Sordell. And if I was korea Id be scared of that team. Still, I'd much rather face this team than uruguay right now. suarez and cavani duo will look scary especially considering our defense is the weakest part of the team. Looking at this team, I actually think korea has the better midfield. we have two good central mids in ki sung yong and ku ja cheol. our left winger kim bo kyung literally looks like the second coming of park ji sung. and im not too sure about the right wing.
that being said, i'd give the defense and forwards position the advantage for GB. Unless park chu young can come into the form he was before he went to arsenal. and our captain, who plays centerback is injured.
I'm just glad bale is not on the team. would have been scary. I was hoping beckham would have been on though haha

No league title in his 2 years, also just 2nd places last season.

Quite a big deal. Why did they sack him? Any specific reason or did he just do bad? Officially there were differing views in terms of transfer polocies between Hoeneß and Nerlinger. The way i see it, many Bayern supporters were complaining about the lack of a coherent strategic concept regarding transfers and especially on the pitch. In the view of many Bayern supporters the club kinda randomly buys players and a coach who were successfull at other places, throws them in one bowl and hopes for success. This is in stark contrast to Borussia Dortmund (last season and current season champion) which have developed a clear pressing playstyle around which all transfers are based, meaning they only buy young players who are able to run 12km every week, every game, and fit the team in general ( also in terms of personality). This kind of "conceptual football" to build a team around a playstyle not vice versa was very successful in the recent Bundesliga seasons with teams like Borussia Mönchengladbach, Mainz, Hannover sharing reasonable successful seasons while other nominal stronger teams seemed to struggle.
The new sport director Matthias Sammer has the reputation of beeing a "conceptual guy". I think his engagement could mainly aim on calming down the fanbase after two years without a title. Bayern already has a very strong youth department and the kind of conceptual team-building that the lower tier teams do will hardly be achievable on the level the FC Bayern continously wants to play. Maybe Hoeneß has hopes in that regard but i don't doubt that part of the reasons to get Sammer was to calm down the fanbase (Dortmund beat Bayern five times in succession now, the last time 5:2 in the Cup Final ).
