England are 4th, England are nowhere near 4th best team at the moment, but based on results the fifa algorithm has em up there. At the end of the day if you win most of your games and lose barely any, a statistician will put you up there somewhere, what actually happens on the pitch is completely irrelevant, and also often subjective as to how 'good' said team is. Yeah, statistically they are 4th best. As I said earlier, consistency is rewarded. They might not be 'the best' but they consistently don't lose. You can't really fault the stats. Englands last loss in 90 minutes was against germany in the world cup 2 years ago. In that time they beat spain etc. Personal opinion ofc differs, and everyone thinks their opinion is right.

This ranking would be laughable if it wasnt used for seeding every international competition. Still, Uruguay 8 ranks above Brazil, England 10 ranks above France... not sure if serious

Friendlies also count for the FIFA rankings and I recall NL beating them not so long ago either.

People need to stop thinking fifa rankings account for how pretty a result is, and only looks at cold hard facts. No matter how much you don't like england, they are consistent. Just because people don't like the stats don't make them a joke.
