He is the second striker to join Bayern München this summer (after Bremen's Claudio Pizarro returned to Bayern). While Pizarro is expected to be more of a back-up to Mario Gomez, Mandzukic will probably expect more time on the pitch.

Also talks of Bale moving on from Tottenham have been squashed out as he re-signs for another 4 years. I'm guessing Sigrudsson joining Spurs is a reactionary measure to Modric most likely leaving?

Still hoping Sig will join Liverpool, he has talked about how much he respects Brenden Rodgers and his approach to the game, just Tottenham are offering higher wages.

Being turned into a mid table side and getting out muscled in the transfer market by Spurs, oh dear. Yes it is madness but also is very much in line with 'Pool's contract policy of "here's what we're prepared to pay you, take it or leave it". Kenny kind of bypassed that policy by just throwing far too much money at club and players and hoping it works (downing, adam, carrol, hendo...). I have more faith in Brenden Rodgers though. If he can bring a similar level of improvement to Liverpool that he did to Swansea it will be a big step in the right direction.

Goalkeepers: Looks like Hong Myung-bo is looking at recent form more than anything, with players like Lee Chung-yong (who just came off a broken leg), Yoon Bit-garam and Son Heung-min overlooked.

Seems like a pretty good squad. I like this manager quite a bit. I hope he's the coach at 14 wc with this core of players. I think we have a decent shot at medalling bc mexico and Swiss are not taking their stars like chich and shaqiri. Then these guys can get out of military service. Hope park chu young has a good tourney so he can get out of arsenal. I want han kook young to be the future dm because Korea is sorely lacking there
