LAMPARD SIGNS Chelsea Football Club is delighted to announce Frank Lampard has signed a one-year extension to his contract. Already the third-highest appearance-maker in the club's history, next season will be the vice-captain's 13th at Stamford Bridge. Ron Gourlay, Chelsea FC Chief Executive, said: 'Frank has been an important player for Chelsea Football Club for a long time and has played a significant part in the club's success. 'We have been talking to him since the end of last year and our discussions have been entirely positive throughout. We are delighted we are now announcing an extension to his contract which will keep him at the club until 2014.' Lampard added: 'I'm absolutely delighted. Everybody knows I always maintained the dream was to stay at Chelsea. We've been talking for ages and even though it went on for quite a period it was always amicable. 'I want to thank Mr Abramovich for everything he's done in making the dream a reality. I love this club, the staff, the players and especially the supporters, who have treated me fantastically since the day I arrived. 'The thought of helping the club to more success in the forthcoming years is all I ever wanted. I couldn't be happier.' Source

David Beckham Announces Retirement from Football David Beckham has announced his retirement from football. The former England captain, who turned 38 earlier this month, has quit at the top three days after helping Paris St Germain to their first French championship in 19 years. That made him the first Englishman to win titles in four different countries, and PSG were keen to hold on to the midfielder beyond the end of his short-term contract. Source

Glad to see Bosscielny get a France call up, he's been pure class this season. Looks like the young guys didn't get called up due to the U21 Euros and U20 World Cup this summer. http://www.thefa.com/england/News/2013/england-squad-ireland-brazil England squad. Andy Carroll gets a call up! Meanwhile Rickie Lambert doesn't...

"Chelsea will be much better next season because they will spend £100m and they will sign three or four players," Benitez told Spanish radio. "They have good young players like Victor Moses, Eden Hazard, Oscar, Cesar Azpilicueta, David Luiz, Fernando Torres, Oriol Romeu; they are all improving and they all have potential. "The foundation is already there. The future is bright for them." Fucking Rafa just cannot shut up can he >.<

I'm more excited tbh about the U-21 squad. http://www.thefa.com/england/mens-under-21s/News/2013/england-euro-2013-squad Excited to see Luke Shaw get a call-up, although its going to be tough for him physically as he's still 17 - that being said he's proven himself in the Premier League so I don't see any reason why he'd falter here. Callum McManaman too - he was sick in the FA Cup for Wigan.

Every player plays in the Bundesliga except Mertestriker, Podolski, and Klose. No Bayern or Stuttgart players in the team since they have the DfB-Pokal final the same weekend as the friendlies.

Andre Wisdom and Nathaniel Chalobah are good defenders too.

Top bit xD He again keeps spluttering in house talk out to the press. Why tell the press Chelsea are going to spend £100million. Now all the papers lead with story Chelsea spending £100million, Falcao Cavani etcetc coming in. Just creates press we don't want. Same when he blurted out about "everyone knows who will be here next season" more press about Chelsea and more fans rejoicing for something that isn't fact >.< Just annoys me, especially when it has NOTHING to do with him now he wont be there.

Well of course Rafa is mad about getting fired after a decent year at Chelsea, fans never liked him to begin with and never gave him a chance. If it was the same with a douche coach like Mou, he would be saying much worse things. Actually, Mou has been doing just that at Madrid these past weeks.

You know how the saying goes: "Caaaarefree wherever we may be" hehe It's a miracle Chelsea won anything this year, 6 new players coming in, one of the youngest sides (talking about the whole roster) in the league, a manager nobody liked as well as our captain and vice-captain being injured for most of the season. Let the press have their fun. I've been a Chelsea fan since around 98', it really shows how far this club has come when winning a major European trophy gets a 'meh'... I read somewhere that today's triumphs become tomorrows history, this past decade has been a blast, a true golden age. When SAF took control of ManU 25 years ago it was a club that was ridiculed for being a 'massive club that never won anything' and look at them now. So I'm thinking about how Chelsea will look like after 25 years of Abramovic, since Mou left we have won only one PL title in 6 years. With Ferguson out of the way I legit feel this is only the halfway point of our golden age, looking at this young/talented team and with a brilliant manager coming in the next decade looks like its going to be a blue one ![]() Bring on those tasty Premier League titles!! nom nom nom

Minus the Casilias freud, that is just personal issues! When Pepe tried to defend Casillas he said he is just mad because a 19 year old kid has "stomped" him xD As in taking his squad spot. Hell he said Barça is the best team of the past 20-30 years. That's what Madrid managers say to get them fired lol. At least two in the past 10 years were gone a few weeks after saying Barça was unbeatable that year. If this is not the last day trolling before leaving, I don't know what it is ![]()
