No, I like Quinn and agree he makes good points. I mean the main commentator, I forget his name.

I can't wait until the start of next season. Manchester United versus some little lower league club in the Community Shield for Moyes' first match.

I believe they wont let that happen? Im sure it will be vs 2nd place? No way they can open that with a Division 1 team xD

I've always quite liked Wigan, a little sad it had to be them on the end of this. If only it were Stoke and their band of Orcs we were sending down...... That would be perfect.

Why not? They won the FA Cup fair and square. It's their right to play in the Community Shield.

Have fun in the Championship with a new manager Wigan!

It's the "Football Association Community Shield." I believe Wigan are still in the Football League, yes?

Ahha, makes sense. I've never heard it called anything other than the Premier League, tend to ignore the sponsors.

Well Wiki seems to think it is Wigan vs Man Utd which i think is silly...i know what your saying, but it will be a stupid match. Especially considering Wigan will have a league fixture the week before and then be a fixture behind due to playing the following week at Wembley xD

So should they have to give up their Europa League spot too? xD (at least there is precedent for that, with Birmingham a few years ago)
Edit: Just looked it up. There is precedent for teams outside the top flight playing in the Community Shield by winning the FA Cup, but it hasn't happened since West Ham did it in 1980. Sunderland and Southampton actually WON it while outside the top flight, in 1973 and 1976 respectively.

Fuck. Arteta most likely out for Newcastle.

Lol. If we beat Newcastle 2-1 and Chelsea play 0-0 vs Everton, there'll be a one-game play-off for third place. wubwubwub
