I don't want to pin this defeat on the referee, but sometimes you see the same fouls commited on both sides and it never goes our way :S Same for the cards, Varane commits a foul as the last defenders, cutting Pedro on the way to the goal, that's a red card, but he didn't even get a yellow... I'm not sure there was even a foul, but if the referee signals it, it's a red card :s Anywayyy, useless game as said before, too bad it's not even going to be a morale boost before Milan... | ||

But it's the kind of decision that can be interpreted differently, so there's no reason to cry over this. Same for Adriano tonight, I think there's penalty, but he still dives a bit... To be honest I'm happy they didn't signal these penalty kicks, because we might have qualified last Tuesday, and might have won/tied the game today. Then the team would have seen these games as 'not good, but we achieved what we wanted' triggering absolutely no reaction and no analysis on the why we play so bad. La Liga is almost won, the Copa del Rey is a minor objective: the real one being the CL, we have to focus on this game against Milan. And to win that by 3 goals of difference we need a reaction. | ||

This year we are solid in the long run but underperforming in the big games, the opposite from last year. Lets hope we pick up some pace along the way. | ||
