Even with 3-0 Pepe is still being a cunt... How can people still defend this guy? Well your game kind of changed to just feeding goals to Messi, he's a little less active with Xavi and Iniesta in midfield now. Also Guardiola was very good at motivating Barca, Tito isn't there and his assistant isn't up to the task of motivating the team.

Watching Barca just get curbstomped by 10 defenders in the box is always a pleasing sight. When a team gives Barcelona the wings for free, it just makes me laugh how pathetically incapable of using crosses and physical presence they are. Such a one-dimensional team. I am convinced that with the higher quality of defending in the prem, they would have a smaller points total here than in Spain. Barely any long shots, barely any crosses and can't score for shit from non-trick-play corners = fucking stack 10 men in the box and let's do this.
|
Our game changed, but for more control, not less. It seems that last year the technical managers thought we lost the titles because we had not enough depth and verticality, and now we can see the result of this thinking. Stupid risky passes, no control, so many goals conceded... We haven't been figured out, or yeah, we have been figured out, maybe 4 years ago, but nobody has been able to stop us consistently even knowing what we would do. It's just when we're having a bad day, we lose, nothing more.

Yeah it means we're having a bad few months. Nothing to do with tactical discovery from the opponents... Inter Milan won us in 2010, and we won the 2011 CL with the same style as before..

Bad days, huh? Bad days last year, losing to Chelsea in the semi's? Bad day again Milan? bad day against Madrid?
You guys have a LOT of bad days...

Us guys are the only team playing EVERY WEEK against opponents that close themselves like that, so yeah it's getting difficult. Against Chelsea we were physically weak because of la Liga and the Copa where we fought against Real Madrid. Madrid was as tired as us against Bayern. Milan and today was more tactical defeats, but shit happens, we can't win everything every year.. People have such high expectations from them, they're just humans, chillax.

Chelsea won the CL last year...and Man U won it 5 years ago. In the 2000's, Spain has 4 wins and England has 3. Big gulf eh?
I already explicated the one-dimensionality of Barca. They may be creative with their triangle and short passing, but their long pass game, crossing, long shots, ability to win corners etc are just so hilariously lacking when compared to all the other top clubs.
No other club in the top echelons would be given the wings for FREE and not be able to do anything with it, time and time again.

True, for the past, but I'm saying that with the fact that people have finally realised how pathetic Barca are against 10 in the box, they would be broken way more often than they have in the past from now on. If they were to join the prem and play a season now. Every single match would be 10 in the box. The weakness of Barca has been exposed. The performances of Chelsea, Milan, Celtic and now RM have proven this weakness is a legit vulnerability. They have some incredible individual talents who are able to save the team from this tactical one-dimensionality but they can be contained. And they didn't even deserve to make the final in 2009.

And still Alves was praised all these years for being the best side back there is... And still Alba has been having a wonderful season until now... You just watch a few games and judge from that. What's true is that their style has been shifting toward using the middle too much for my taste, but they still use the wings, and this year they've been using them a lot more than last year. Long pass, they do it a lot when they're not playing against very defensive teams. Crossing too. Yeah they're small so corners and headers are hard.
I would really advise you to watch the games were Madrid played vs turtle teams this season, just for lulz. They did absolutely nothing. Every team, even top tier team, that would play against a 'turtle strat' would have a fucking hard time. It's just that a team sees Barca = we play turtle, because it's the only way we can win something.

Part of sc4k's point is that they don't have the physical presence in the area to make use of crosses and plays from the wing, even while they may have players capable of making plays on the wing.
|
If all one needed to figure out from barca was to place one's team in a catenazzio form, then I would be considered a legendary tier manager. Stop with the ridiculous generalisations.

Lol Willy, seems you can't take criticism of your team bro....Every team comes under scrutiny at some stage, Barca's turn now, suck it up. This is what happens when you have 2 defeats in 3 games.

This is what happens when you have 2 defeats in 3 games. I can't take unjustified criticism. I'm the first to say that we played terrible tonight and vs Milan, and to say that our style hasn't pleased me for the last 2 seasons. But WE HAVEN'T BEEN FIGURED OUT. Our style isn't crazy complicated, everybody knows how we play, but still can't beat us consistently. We have 12 points over the 2nd in la Liga, is it random? Is it just Messi? No...
I repeat myself: WE are the ONLY team playing against SUCH DEFENSIVE teams EVERY DAMN WEEK. I repeat this: look at Madrid's game vs this playstyle, and laugh with me at their pathetic, 'one-dimensional' approach. And this Madrid has long passes skills, sufficient height to score on corners, free kicks, etc...
Add to that our physical situation and the fact that we've won almost everything the last year, then you got the real explanation for these failures... Not because Mourinho got a revelation in his dreams yesterday night...
