Example would be first throw-in, first foul, first yellow card etc.etc. It takes much less notice and is not much of an influence on an entire game. So first yellow card for example you can bribe a ref. First throw-in you can bribe a player that receives the ball after kick-off. How often do you see the player to receive the ball to randomly cross it over the line 'apparently to reach a runner at the line' after kick-off?
And it happens more in lower leagues anyway because player/refs earn less money there so it's easier/cheaper to bribe them and dumb mistakes like kicking the ball over the line are less suspicious.
I think only 1% of these scandals ever come to light.
Spot Fixing.

Apparently the sums apply to matches based in Germany alone, would be way too low for that many matches otherwise.

i'd be absolutely shocked if a CL semi final was fixed in any way. it just doesn't make sense for anyone playing at that stage to accept a bribe, their salaries are really high and they all have far too much to risk.
unless we're talking about threats, in which case I'm not sure I can really fault any player or referee.

...are you serious? No big games can be fixed, because the money they offer is just to low. They made only 16m in all the games they fixed. Thats a joke for a big team. The only cl-game they fixed will one of the very uninteresting games like BATE Borisov or team of that caliber.

That's so worrying. Criminals really are horrifying. We all know that if someone wants us dead, they can accomplish it...the police will not be able to guard you and you'll have to get a new identity if you want to escape...but what can a club footballer do?! They have to get armed guards...but this would only be affordable for very highly paid players.

No Reason why they didn't bet that a penalty was not going to be given or that Chelsea would not score more than 1 goal at home or something (if were talking about Chesea vs Barcelona 2010) Could be many a thing, would be great to get more information out quicker, but i bet we wont here about anything until the summer which is a shame.
Also don't forget if it's Asian syndicates, it probably is money in $s, so at 1.6$ to the £ you can assume, that the £7million is actually $11.2million. So it atleast makes it look a bit more money. Also if this is a weekly thing, it all adds up in the end. No reason to do it once to get a big result. Why not do loads of small bets on 380 games across Europe to then make $11million over that course? Nice income if you ask me xD

Klose is injured, so he is out for the friendly on wednesday, and Löw nominates Sven Bender and not Kießling. That makes sense. Not. Löw also said, that Kießling will be given a chance later on this year... but why not wednesday?!
|
Our national team will have a serious striker problem in 1-2 years anyway, maybe Löw is trying to get used to "gomez plays or no striker at all"...

wonder why löw isn't nominating kießling?! germany vs france should be interesting despite this being a test game. schweinsteiger, götze, schmelzer, reus, klose are all missing for germany on wednesday.

The match fixing games at UCL are from qualifation rounds.
Usually they buy 2-4 players from the losing team. And/or ref.
Sometimes matchfixing dosnt work, like in Finland - Lichstenstain, we still played draw, eventho the ref trying to fix it to our win :D!

Brazil is so weak rightnow, I bet we are going to lose 2-0 to England.
Unless England is just as bad as we are.

He is Löw, he is very stubborn when it comes to choosing players.
This is not the first time that Kießling plays exceptionally well and doesn't get nominated, apparently Löw just doesn't like him for some reason.

There is no reason Gomez is being nominated and Kiesling not.
Except the obvious reason of Gomez used to play for Stuttgart and Kießling not. That's a very important factor for Loew who is very biased.

No one cares about friendlies! I'm glad all Dortmund players pulled out, such a waste of time and effort...

Löw is biased? You should look at our national manager :D.
He has some very pragmatic rules on who to select.

I don't watch stupid nationalteam-games. Only World Cup and EURO is worth it. Who is so stupid to watch Germany play Uzbekistan or some of these 3rd world countries? Thats like watching MVP destroying some NA-Goldleaguer... just no fun at all!
