I got myself a gym membership in early '09.. I didn't have any idea about a lifting routine or nutrition. This resulted in me only going occasionally and not really enjoying the gym. I made pretty much zero progress in a years time with severe fuckarounditis. In May of 2011 I went to a physical test for city police. I previously passed this test once already with a decent enough time, but that was almost a year before. Since then I was pretty much a couch potato. Needless to say i failed pretty badly on the strength part of the test. I couldn't believe how weak I was and felt I needed a big change... On June 1st I started Mark Rippetoe's Starting Strength program. I just bought the SS book so my friend and I read it and studied it a lot while also looking into nutrition. My starting weight was 135lbs.. My current weight is 148.6lbs My starting lifts were about: Squat - 115lbs 3x5 Bench - 95lbs 3x5 Deadlift - 115lbs 1x5 Press - 50lbs 3x5 Powercleans - 65lbs 3x5 After about four months of lifting I switched to a different strength routine that has been working for me really well. I am still on this program and am quite enjoying it. My current lifts now after 6 months: Squat - 220lbs 3x5 Bench - 150lbs 3x5 Deadlift - 270lbs 1x5 Press - 105lbs 3x5 Pull-up - BW +10lbs 3x5 Dips - BW+35lbs 3x5 Bent-over Row - 105lbs 3x5 Before pics.. + Show Spoiler + ![]() + Show Spoiler + ![]() Here are my current pictures. + Show Spoiler + ![]() + Show Spoiler + ![]() + Show Spoiler + ![]() + Show Spoiler + ![]() + Show Spoiler + ![]() Edit - I think i'm going to have to re-upload my current pictures, they seem to have been sized weird..

I would be super scared of exacerbating anything. those are some pretty wicked tattoos. i would never get one myself but i dig that kind of simple black design. ya being injured sucked, but i was able to recover pretty quickly both times which made me happy.
