hnnnngggg best wling shoe ever made. I tried a pair once, it was amazing. They're so fucking stylish too. Those red adipowers are fucking hideous, insanely expensive, and nowhere near as good as the white adidas they were making around 2008-2010.

Romaleos felt alright, but ain't no way I would shell $200 for them.

Anybody have any tips on stopping jumping backwards on the snatch? It's really bad and messing up my consistency like crazy.

You'll have to post a video. Jumping backwards isn't necessarily a bad thing as long as you are consistent in meeting the bar at the right place and catching it.

Here I hit a near max snatch jumping back quite a bit (and then miss a few PR attempts :p)

Sexy pics!!! Now for something much less awesome...

Form check plz. Sorry for the bad camera angles and such. I originally meant this just for self coaching in-between sets, but then I remembered that I don't know shit about what I'm doing. Also, sorry for the sweaty shirtless-ness.

So anyway, Snatches. The things that stick out to me are: my right arm keeps ending up higher than my left arm at the top. I saw it during the session but couldn't fix it. Is there a coaching cue I can think about that will help with that? Also, yeah I know I'm slow.



Any helpful cues or tips are highly appreciated. Thanks!

It seems to me like you have a slight bend in your right elbow right before you finish, so it might be causing you to pull unevenly therefore catching uneven. Gotta wait for the expert opinion from the better lifters though lol.

See the bend? The bar looks a bit crooked at the finish.

you seem to favor a side when pulling off the floor. could you take a side view and 45 degree angle?

also look forward, need to keep your chest up in the pull.

Yeah that makes sense. That whole arm is beat up too (elbow from bench/press, wrist from jerks), so I'm probably compensating on that side.

I think some ice and extra mobility work will help, plus I have a better idea on what to look for now. Thanks for pointing that out!

yes same thing applies

check out any hookgrip sequence. Every lifter will keep their chest up.

Did some heavy hang cleans for the first time in like a year. Got 205lb easy then couldn't stand up for 215
Only been doing rack deadlifts and skipping squats so my front & back squats have become horrible. Gotta squat more often!

ugghh did some cleans for the first time since nationals. tons of technique work around 100-120. My clean is such garbage. Bar always crashes on me. Granted i was sore but the snatch and jerk make so much more sense to me than the clean ~~

I've been chasing this weight for a bit now. I can pull it easily but the lock out gets me every time. Am I just catching it off place? Weak lock out? Gonna keep snatch push press in my program.

its the bar path, keep the bar close on the pull. Looks like it comes out too much after the 2nd pull

I tried some snatches and clean and jerks with an empty bar. I'm just getting it up with strength rofl. I can't ever see myself doing like 110 lbs right now. You guys are absolute beasts.

When i started i fell over using the empty bar lol. We all start at the bottom and work our way up

Ofcourse, ofcourse. Still. I can deadlift 107.5 KG's. You are throwing that and more over your head. That's really fucking crazy. I'm not lieing when I say that I can't really comprehend the strength to do that.

Strength is great for the lifts, but when strength is your greatest weakness like myself. Learning efficient technique will greatly benefit you.
