To be more specific, the only part of my legs that hurt is in the groin area, so the upper inner thighs section. The weight of the squat doesn't bother me, and even if I go down in weight I feel like it will be the same pain.
Is this a stretching/flexibility issue where you're going too far down for your muscles to handle?

Or is it soreness?
Or is it an actual injury?
It could be a minor groin strain since I seem to have some of it's symptoms but I don't know how to treat it if it were the case.
I have no problem going down parallel or lower. However, I'm thinking I probably didn't squeeze my glutes very well in my squat sessions which in turn forced me to squeeze with my inner thighs which is bad I think. Do you think that is the cause perhaps?
EDIT: Actually now I'm very sure that it's a groin strain. The causes could be anything from what I mentioned above to not enough adequate warm-up etc etc.
So should I stop doing squats for a week and just lightly do some groin stretches in the mean-time?

That's the end of my linear gains -__- Missed my press as well today. All in all a really shitty day for me.
Need to rest my back for a while until it recovers...
fuck I'm so angry right now.
Have you done any resetting? Have you been eating/resting properly?
Do you mean deloading? I haven't reset/deloaded yet. I'm certain I got enough food & rest. Been eating 3k calories a day and slept without an alarm.
I'm just angry at myself because I was dumb enough to think I could keep doing this although I felt the volume was becoming too much a week or two ago. Even at ~190, if I only 2.5k cal or didn't get enough sleep one time, I barely got through my sets. Not sure what I'm going to do now. I do know that my back needs to rest and recover fully and that I will not be doing 5x5 on squats anymore.
3k cal is enough? EAT MOAR om nom nom.. Also your linear gains arent done if you have deloaded/reset yet. Don't get mad at yourself, pour it in to your lifts. Train to be a motherfucker.
Yeah my weight gain has stalled recently so I'm going to try to eat 3.5k a day to get it moving up. My lower back feels weaker every time step into the gym so I'm going to lay off the 5x5. 2 weeks ago I DLed 275 like it was nothing and did 295 the next session. Now I struggle to lift 235 off the ground with good form. I'm going to skip the back squat next time and hopefully that will be enough for my lower back to recover and start doing 3x5.
And here's an article that i absolutely love. Perfectly describes my state of mind when i hit my PR 145 + 117 total, and the exact reason i missed my first snatch then went 5/5 Wish i just read it instead of spending 4 months getting bitched at by an old russian man to relax :-p I guess some lessons are better learned that way though.
I think I have found a staple dinner/post workout meal if you are too lazy or tired to cook meat.
I prepare about 250grams of sweet potatoes cut up and roasted. 3 x scrambled eggs mixed with 100grams of cottage cheese.
Works out to about 700 calories Roughly 50grams of protein 30grams of fat 60grams of carbs
I buy the pre-prepared potatoes and just throw them in the oven, you'll probably end up with half as much fat if you prepare them yourself, but then you'd need to hardboil the bastards before throwing them into the oven.
It tastes surprisingly amazing! It turns out into a a great combination texture and flavour.
lol i am weak, maxed on 80kg atg squat, couldnt do 90kg atg. :/ Did 80kg, then tried 90kg 2 times and failed, then in the end for positive thinking did 80kg again.
OHP finally over 40kg to 42.5kg. Finished all the reps, but dont think i have enought power to go to 45kg now.
Haven't done press in a while because an injury left me with nothing else to do than press and benchpress and it got fucking boring. Got back into it today after a 3 week break. Somehow my press got stronger from not doing them (have done lots of other good stuff though)
Warmup, then 5x60, 5x65, 5x70, 1x75, 1x80 (old PR) and then it happened:

This is at a bw of 77 kg.
wait, what? So you're off CP?
Wait, what? No love for the press?
Of course I am still ON Coan-Phillipi. But I have 2 CF competitions coming up and wanted to see where my press (and benchpress) was at. Tomorrow is week 6 of C-P with 1x2 of easy 170 kg.
