@phyre112 well to be honest i have always weighed pretty good for how big I was i was always 220 or 250. But since my back problem i laid in a bed for a few months and just ate did no activity its not a way to live depression kicked in because I was suppose to play college bball then having these back problems shut that down. So really I just got tired of it i took off my shirt and looked at myself and wasn't happy with what I saw. I said enough is enough and wanted to get at least down back to 250 and if i get results then drop even more. See I was born big I was always husky or bigger then most. Just time for a change the way I see it :D I am gonna be honest when i was 250 i was probably the most active fat kid you ever saw, i would play bball for 5-6 hours a day I would go hiking I would do a lot of things lol.

your squat is impressive. wish I could squat like that (
speaking of squats: I havent done them in a week or two because my elbow was bothering me. today I tried it again and I think I lost a lot of strength. I used to be able to do a set of 135kg but today 110kg already felt very heavy.
gonna try again next week!

Thanks eshlow for all the info on the AC recovery stuff. Its been about 4 weeks and i have full range of movement with no pain, only when i try to push away from my body it hurts. I started doing some strengthening excersizes with resistance bands and have been massaging it to.

It seems like training for olympic lifting differs greatly from doing SS style training or powerlifting training in that there's a great deal of variance on individual training days or weeks. Sometimes you're hitting prs effortlessly, other times 85% feels like a horrible struggle. Can Decaf and Dimsum back me up on this? When I was doing SS, I kinda knew what to expect every training session and my results were usually pretty close.

Fat loss is pretty much all dependent on diet so that's a good thing for you Take a good look at the articles in the OP to get started with proper nutrition.

@phyre and eshlow. Thanks for the opinion guys I'll relay what you said to him. He's not set on this plan but I think he wants to try it out. Thanks for the reading material eshlow. Btw are you like a nutritionist or a trainer or something?

Hey guys , I've met a problem with my training. It seems like my deadlift is always stalling. No matter what I can't get above 315.

Could be a mental thing but I hit 315 last wednesday for 5 grinding reps when I did light squat prior . I tried to get 315 again this monday after squatting 320 for 3x5 , I could barely pull 315 for 3 reps.

Could it be a technical problem with my form ? or a programming problem? or am I simply just weak. My squats are legit , just sayin ;x failed my last set of 325 yesterday because I went ATG and couldn't get out of the hole .

I'm doing SS intermediate , deadlifting once every week.

Or you could just be tired from squatting heavy?

yeah squats and deadlifts target a lot of the same muscles so you might be tired (although you shouldnt be tbh). it might be bad (or rather: inefficient) form, but I doubt it tbh because its a quite simple movement. maybe your body is just not made for deadlifting (short arms or something, idk), or maybe you just need to put more insanity into it!

Figured if SS requires you to squat "heavy" and deadlift heavy every workout , why wouldn't it work for me now. Especially when practical programming book given template alternate deadlifts every week on wednesday ( light squat ) and friday ( heavy squat).

I'll get a friend to take a video of my deadlifts soon, I hope you guys can help me :D.

Hey chaps this is the diet my mate Jason is doing. Looks fairly weird, 'the anabolic diet'. So it's not really an atkins diet but it bears resemblance...

http://www.t-nation.com/free_online_article/sports_body_training_performance_diet_mass/eat_like_a_man_part_i_test_driving_the_anabolic_diet

would like to get some opinions on this to see whether I should support him or tell him to back off the idea. He is a medium growth boxer/bodybuilder who has put on some good weight and muscle so far.

thats why I said it shouldnt be because you are tired (given that you eat and rest enough) its most likely something else.

Congratulations and happy honeymoon :D

Also those I got those power perfects II. Great shoes, even though I'm a weak ass lol.

105 kg and 72.5kg squat. Whoever said that you gotta lift big to squat big was entirely correct. Just gotta stop worrying about every little detail and push through on the lifts.

Sophisticated version of: Shut up and squat!

Congrats Anabolic, I wish you two all the luck in the world!
