The good news: I found a gymnasium with a weight room that only costs $2.00/4 hours of use. It is surprisingly well-equipped--better than Konami Shit Gym which I was paying $130 a month for, lol. The bad news: It has no bumper plates... and it's a 20 minute bike ride away. I almost got hit by two cars on the way home because Japanese people can't drive, and even worse, I may wear out my legs on the way there affecting my squats. At least it's all downhill on the way, and all uphill on the way back. I wouldn't have been able to drop the plates anyway. Can you do Oly lifting without bumper plates? Obviously I can't drop the plates to the floor, but I think I can hitch it down to my knees and then reverse deadlift it down. Of course this will get in the way of my training at a certain point, but the only other option would be to buy a house, buy a barbell/bumper plate set, and train at home... that's at least five years into the future for me. Anyway, I guess I'll start on Saturday because I have to go to some kind of orientation. Looking forward to getting back into the swing of things!

Cause I'm having some weird work times, and calories from milk would be very easy. I think the Leangains creator advises against liquid calories while cutting just because it would be a waste of calories you could be eating for greater satiability.

Enjoy fools Inb4 sweet face on your last lift(I died laughing when I saw it) Anyways, after I got done benching the guy who saved me told me the bar weighs 55 pounds instead of 45. Not sure if its the truth, just throwing it out there (Calculated the weight with a 45 pound bar still)

At least I find that a whole lot easier. edit: also, the bar doesn't seem to touch your chest on some of your benching reps. a big nono in my book ![]()

If you're doing SS, you'll probably have to start using mixed grip on your work sets in like a month... But do double overhand for as long as possible, as it will help increase your grip strength moreso than mixed. I have yet to see anyone do hook grip in person outside of olympic lifts.

Yeah u can drop it on your thighs then put it back down. The problem is if u miss a lift, there is going to be a big crash. :O

I use hook grip on DL personally because switch grip puts me off balance somehow. Or at least I am not used to it since my arms are facing different directions it makes my body want to act asymmetrically. Not the best feeling when trying to lift max poundage.

Anyways... @sc4k. I legit lol'd @sJarl. I'll try that out tomorrow, I'm gonna be going to the gym to practice a bunch of different stuff. And I can assure you every rep hit my chest on that bench. I have an arched set up and my shirt makes it hard to tell. I'm just good at making it touch my shirt ![]() On the mixed grip... I don't know why I chose to do mixed grip for all of these. My grip is one of my strong points, I could of at least went up to 225 with a double over hand and possible 275 before it would of started slipping. My grip is so badass that my hands usually hurt after chinups/pullups. This video was a lot of fun to make and I'll probably be making more in the future. Again, thanks all!
